The Scene
This small strip-mall shop, oddly still carrying the half-Irish moniker of its predecessor, has been churning out exotic ice creams and sorbets since 1980. The decadent flavors and friendly, sweet service are so far removed from chains that you may swear off Baskin-Robbins forever.
The Food
The ice cream is made regularly on the premises, and rosewater is the base for most flavors, enhanced with Middle Eastern ingredients such as orange blossom, saffron and cardamom in place of traditional American ones. Creamy rosewater ice cream hits the tongue meltingly smooth, while the perfume of roses wakes the taste buds. Coconut-pineapple marries two powerful flavors into a perfectly balanced mixture. The rosewater sorbet is similar to a traditional Iranian dessert, flecked with slightly crunchy rice noodles. American flavors are just as delicious: Strawberry cheesecake tastes remarkably like its namesake, and almonds stud praline's caramel sweetness.

Great ice cream at a wonderful price. I wish they had more locations. I got exactly what I wanted at a cheaper price than most places.

I heard this place from Channel 9! I decided to order from their website. It melts in your mouth and the taste lingers! I hopefully can visit the store soon!

Started by brothers Mashti and Meddhi (spelling?) using old Iranian recipes (they put Rosewater in some of their flavors), this is by far the best ice cream shop experience you will ever have. This is the real deal folks. You will never want frozen yogurt again. You have to try their Ginger ice cream - so creamy and spicy/sweet - it's the best! I also love their Orange Blossom ice cream. Sure, they still have the more familiar flavors - I especially love the Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. If you're lucky one of the owners will be there - they are both real friendly. We have been there before when one of the owners passed out free samples of special middle eastern delicacies (candy, etc.). This is a very special place. If you love ice cream , then you need to try this place out.

If it's not already in the freezer, the staff will pack a fresh pint for you. They'll even pack it in dry ice if you're driving far. Mashti also ships pints anywhere in the U.S.
