love hotel, nice friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great location, expensive drinks, amazing price, helpful everyone
This place is as "hollywood" as it gets. The parties here are rocking every night of the week and the pool is definitely where the cool kids hang out. The rooms are beautiful, quiet and the service is stellar.

Great parties are held at the pool. I love their Tropicana and Library bar. At the Library bar, they serve cocktails with fresh ingredients and stuff you've never heard of.

One of the hippest hotels in Hollywood, the Roosevelt is also full of history. The architecture is gorgeous and the rooms are nice. Tons of dining and drinking options. The Library Bar has the best cocktails, and the burgers are great at the 24-hour 25 Degrees.

I finally stayed at this historic Hollywood Hotel and I have to say I love the simple decor, clean elegance, and remnants of times before. Staff is lovely + Room Service (breakfast) a definite DO!
Add this to your list of must-sees when in the LA area. The hotel is almost as iconic as the Hollywood sign itself. Grandiose with eloquent design detail is one hotel you'll want to check into and check out.
It's ok. I stayed here when I moved to LA. This is truly a Hollywood landmark and a great place to see celebs.. the rooms are beautiful, the hospitality is good. My problem was that when I went there, there was a private function and security was over the top and a little in your face. I don't mind not being a VIP, but I am still paying a lot of cash for a room and drinks.. The Pool is beautiful, parking works and your are right in the middle of everything... if the cost is clear, this is a fun place to stop by and have a drink... but it only gets three stars because they should have kept a leash on the help.
One of the worst hotels money can buy.
No doubt this place has an incredible night scene - as a club, it gets closer to 4 stars. As a hotel, this place is a DUMP. Stayed there several times now - rooms are small, dark and dirty. Supposedly-cool 1970's dark decor just masks the poor room quality. Overdue for a remodel.
As someone who spends over 100 nights / year in hotels, save your money folks and stay elsewhere.
Great Hotel. Great choice. Awesome location, right in front of Kodak Theater
Worst service and trashiest hotel in Hollywood. I have lived in LA for 5 years, always drive by this hotel, heard good things, and wondered. So when guests came from San Diego, I suggested it for its great location, so we could walk to bars and restaurants, go to Teddy's, etc. From the second we arrived, every single person on staff was rude, obnoxious, and completely unhelpful. The front desk girls literally turned up their noses at us! We arrived early, couldn't check in until 3 p.m., so we went to Tropicana to have drinks and apps by the pool. The hostess gave us attitude, sitting us at the worst table in the house (right by a very loud speaker that was on its last leg, blaring out Bon Jovi songs). The people were all pretty gross - not glamorous at all, but girls with really bad implants who were going topless and making out with their hairy boyfriends poolside. The server took an hour to get every round, the food was bad and overpriced, and forget getting lounge chairs, as they were booked all day by noon. The bathroom was so small in our room, I am 5'4" and my knees were against the wall whenever I sat on the toilet. The fire alarm on the ceiling was hanging down loose off its wires (that made me feel safe), there were nail polish stains on the carpet, and even though there were three of us in the room, we only got two towels between us. Later that night, the doorman at Teddy's was unbearably rude and would not let us in, despite the fact that we were hotel guests, and when we called down to the front desk to complain, the guy said, "just because you're hotel guests doesn't guarantee entry into Teddy's...it's a private club, that's just the way it is..." It was July 4th, and the only people in line were ridiculously tacky tourists, and here we were, a hot blonde, and two brunettes with money to spend... RIDICULOUS. The next day, my friends promptly checked out and went to the Beverly Wilshire, which was an entirely different (and MUCH more upscale experience)!
Great for NewYears. This is one of the premier spot to be at for NewYears. Gotta get a room by the pool though...Loads of fun without driking and driving.
Dark deep orange embiance. If you like orange lighting against black panels, you might like this hotel decor more then I do. Efficient bath and accessories. Still have grumpy air conditioning system that can wake a cow up. Ten thousand moon at night with spot light shining directly at windows. Refrigerator is not turned on even though mini bar items were there. Front desk staff though not knowledgable are willing to help. 24 hours phone in tech support is great. Concierge and bell service above average. Location very convenient.
Immature, unhelpful staff.
I had a relatively good experience with the valet staff and housekeeping, but the front desk, concierge and service staff seemend so inexperienced. It seemed as if they couldn't care less about their jobs -- like they were too good to be of service, as if they are unaware they are in the hospitality industry. Fell far short of expectations.
Great location for tourist activity and a beautifully decorated old hotel.
Star Studded Experience. I love this hotel. The decor and ambiance is amazing and worth the price. The drinks are expensive but that's what one would expect for the atmosphere. I saw Lindsey Lohan and Marc Jacobs in the same night. I will definitely be back!
