I guess this place used to be called Players. If your looking for a hidden gem this is the place! From the outside its a bit plain but once inside its clean and comfortable with friendly staff and good food at great prices. The pizza is all hand made the old way and the best I have had in a long time. They also have a full menu that ranges from Pizza (duh) to steaks, sandwiches, salads and the usual bar munchies. My friend had something the waiter called westside ribs that were Fantastic. They have nightly specials Monday Spaghetti Night $4.95, Endless Happy Hour on Tuesday, Live stand up comedy on Wednesday (thats when we went), Karaoke on Thursday and the coolest Sunday Brunch ever (wear your pajamas and get 25% off your food) There is also live music on different nights. good bands
Pros: Great food, great prices, full bar, live entertainment

I went to Players this weekend and shared a pizza with my boyfriend. We checked it out because we had a coupon (from the Orange County Entertainment Book) and it proved to be a great deal. The pizza tasted good but I didn't like the atmosphere. First, when I approached the place I got a huge whiff of cigarette smoke as I walked in. I was glad that people weren't smoking inside the bar (as that is illegal here in California) but right outside can be almost as gross. Then, when I walked in I felt like people were looking at me like I didn't belong, like I had just walked into a biker bar or something. Clearly, Players isn't that type of bar but it did strike me as odd that everyone in there looked at me when I walked in, like I was infringing on their turf of something. We couldn't find a spot in the whole place that wasn't extremely loud so we just settled on a place to sit. We sat near a group of men that had clearly drank to excess and were overly intoxicated. They spoke really loudly and were cussing, one man even had his hands on the waitresses lower back and the establishment didn't seem to do anything to curb this type of behavior. So, all in all, the food is good and a good deal, but definitely not the kind of place to go for a relaxed evening out or a date. Not a great environment for women. Oh, and the food is served on paper plates. I don't have a huge problem with that, just don't expect a fancy, sit down experience.
Pros: Good pizza, Good deal with the coupon
