What People Are Saying About Equinox

In Short – Moving into the space formerly occupied by Spa Mystique, Equinox fitness club's spa features ten massage rooms, two Shiatsu rooms, four rooms dedicated to facials, two body treatment areas and a mani/pedi suite. The service menu is equally staggering, with five maternity-specific treatments, six services designed for men, and ten spa packages. After getting buffed, polished, detoxed and kneaded, spagoers are welcome to use the gym's fitness facilities or kick back at the hotel pool.
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:
- No need to be a member of Equinox fitness club--the spa is open to the public.
- Look Good:
- The spa's LED HandSpa Anti-Aging treatment uses light emitting diodes to stimulate collagen production and erase signs of aging; younger-looking digits are then topped off with a manicure.
- Facials:
- While age erasing, complexion cleansing and back polishing facials are popular, the spa's most lavish treatment is the 80-minute Ultra-Luxe Diamond Experience featuring three targeted facial massages.
- Body Treatments:
- Renew energy with an invigorating Banya Ritual, including a warm scrub, application of a cooling lotion to increase circulation and a Russian massage designed to melt tension and strengthen joints.

A special thanks to an Equinox staff member.

Actually I want to give some serious recognition to Michael who works in the maintenance crew for helping me find my wallett & ipod when I was there a few weeks back. I thought I lost them, or someone had took them. After talking with Mike & retracing my steps, it turns out I left them in one of the other lockers in the men's locker room by mistake. Thanks to him & his first searching the lockers next to the one I was using he was able to locate them. I was so relieved that he was able to find it so quickly. He was very professional & took the matter very seriously. Thank you Michael, this is one member who appreciates you!
RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

$45 should get you a decent pedicure right? Not at this spa. Mine looked like it was done by a my 8y old daughter. The lady used a crusty nail polish from the 90's and clipped/cut my already short nails 5 times and still they were all crazy angled. It was actually amusing after awhile, like a geometry puzzle. It was supposed to include a short foot massage (pedi was 40min long) which is what a SPA pedi NORMALLY does, however this lady SKIPPED it and went straight to hot towels and...yup you guessed it... more filing (she was down to my skin by end of session!) I live in Palm Springs and must be use to trained manicurist. This was RIDICULOUSLY BAD! I walked around showing ppl how bad it was for the next 30min. I really found it unbelievable I spent $45 on the worst pedi I have ever received. Save yourself the needed do-over pedi I had to have done...go across the street to the mall and have your nails done.
- Pros: Able to squeeze you in I guess?
- Cons: IT WAS THE WORST SPA PEDI EVER

I feel bad for the people who work here because they are really talented, for the most part. This company churns through employees like McDonald's serves customers and it makes me wonder if they understand spa at all.
- Pros: mostly talented staff
- Cons: terrible company
One of the best Spa Experiences I've ever had

I travel to Los Angeles regularly and I am definitely going back to this spa every chance I get. I was greeted by a very sweet woman named Mia, who was an absolute gem. The layout is confusing, but she walked me through to the waiting area where you meet your therapist. I had an incredible shiatsu massage with Parker and absolutely floated out. The facility is incredible. I was able to shower for the day and the products in the shower and at the counters in the women's lockeroom are awesome. This is absolutely my spa when I am in LA.
- Pros: great people, excellent space
- Cons: slightly confusing layout
