I went here last weekend to get professor gifts for my wife's graduation. After getting over the shock that someone seems to have discovered Penfold's "Bin ###" line of cabernet-shiraz blends was severely underpriced at $20/bottle (and now goes for an eye-popping $50), I got back into my liquor zone.

This place has it all...and then some. I picked up an excellent Barberesco and bitters travel kit from The Bitter End (and a Cali cabernet because Penfolds is now for millionaires only).

Just what a wine bar should be cozy, good tunes at a level conducive for conversation and a menu designed to compliment the abundant wines.

Great Place for Wine, Beer, Champagne & Appetizers. Venice Beach Wines is a local wine store with a cozy little patio where you can drink, eat and catch up with friends. It is a nice atmosphere and there always seems to people hanging out there regardless of the day. They have an awesome wine, beer & champagne list. The food is delicious and made fresh. You can pick from assorted small plates, good salads, pressed sandwiches or ppick from a great selection of fantastic cheese and meats to create your own antipasti spread. The brownie bites are fabulous. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
