wanted to like it but couldn't

I went here last night because I wanted to try something new...I should have realized when I heard that Larry Nicola owned the place that it would be over-priced, i.e. Nic's..The hostess, manager, server were SO friendly and accomadating, this was the only plus. The drinks are so ridiculously over-priced. The menu is very small with not much variety. I ordered the chicken emchiladas...2 small enciladas with no sides and I think the dish was like $15. My date ordered the carne asada tacos which were ok. It took FOREVER to get the food and it came out cold...then I asked for hot sauce, from 3 different people,the first two said ok but then just ignored me, the third said "we're trying to find some" needless to say my dish was down right chilly by the time I finally got any. Again, the service was very friendly but 2 small entrees and one drink, a beer by the way and not an over-priced marg, to come out to over $40 is ridiculous...especially for mexican food!!! Will not return.

Dont Bother! A frustrating waste of time and money

Awful! I was just there with a group of friends, and none of us will ever go back. The service was friendly at the door.. but cold and inattentive at the table. Our server was happy to ask if I needed another cocktail but left everyone's soft drinks and water to sit empty.

Our 40-50 minute wait for food may not have been so bad had the server attempted to bring refills on the chip basket, or even stop by to tell us that food was on it's way. We never once saw the manager.

We wanted to start with a Quessadilla (minus the peppers) but were told that they were "pre-made" (OMG.. cheese and a frigg'n tortilla at a Mexican food restaurant, and they PREMAKE their quessadilla.. and wouldn't make one from scratch.. is this TGI Fridays?).

Once the food arrived, my Carne asada was over-cooked.. and they had completely forgotten one of my friends' entree's.. we had to flag down another server to go to the kitchen to look for it.

I supported myself through school in the industry and I get what good service should be (and what its like when someone acutally tries).. and I also get what good (or even mediocre) food should be. MEXICO MISSES THE MARK IN EVERY CATEGORY.

We all live nearby and are placing bets at how long it will be until this poor attempt at Mexican food will stay in business. Make a run for the border folks because at least they can make a Quesadilla from scratch at Taco Bell!

Has Potential

Great location with fun lively vibe. If you are seated inside you don't get the attention or service the guests outside do. It was 6:00 p.m. on a Sunday evening(prime dinner time) and they ran out of the "carne asada".
