view & uploaddelish tartar sauce, great soul food, yummy cabbage, really good fried chicken
Drink before. Made plans to go for dinner last Saturday. Arrived around 9:00 p.m. and the place looked empty. We went down the street and had dinner and then came back. The band was playing, so we paid the cover and went it. The cover included a 'free' drink. Thank God!! I ordered a shot of Patron and not only did they not have it, the only liquor the served were the generic brands they sell in grocery stores. No name, just 'Tequilla'. Aside from that, the music was good and it was a fun place. It looks like a family owned place that is a work in progress. So if you're already buzzed or don't mind what you drink, a great place to go for good music and fun people.
Great soul food!. Stumbled onto this place on a Friday and it was surprisingly EMPTY, that made us nervous. but that quickly changed when we tried the cornbread fresh out of the oven. I had the fried catfish with the delish tartar sauce that had a lil kick to it. The mac and cheese side was soo yummy, fresh out of the oven with a golden melted cheesy crust, and the cabbage was super yummy! The only thing was the rice and beans was soupy, I just wasn't expecting it to be like that but it was still good. I tried the fried chicken that was really good too, perfectly seasoned!
