* i can find only one review among these that isn't fake *. what's the use of reviews when the restaurant is the one writing them? every reviewer of this restaurant has written just one review... for this restaurant and this restaurant alone. so obviously fake. and all clumped together on the same days. desert rose, if you're going to cheat, at least don't do it so blatently. you're 'best of citysearch'? yeah right....

on a real review note, the one time i actually entered this restaurant, my friend and i were ignored by the staff for so long that we actually got up and left.

Lovely happy hour stop. My husband and I enjoyed Desert Rose for the first time last night. The weather was so wonderful that we set out looking for a nice place with a patio to enjoy dinner. Did we luck out!!! We shared the Frito Misto and the Baked Brie appetizers and were wonderfully surprised. The squid and crab in the Frito Misto were lightly floured and crispy. No sopping greasy items here. The Baked Brie, served with toast, apple slices and strawberries was ooey-gooey...as it should be. My husband raved about his double cut pork chop entree and swears we will be back just for that piece of meat. I opted for a lighter dish, the Garbanzo and Edamame salad with grilled salmon added. LOVED IT! The crispy tofu was done well, lightly crispy on the outside without drying out or oiling up the tofu itself. The added salmon makes this lovely salad a perfect entree. In it's original form (without the salmon), this salad is a wonderful vegan entree. Although we sat inside, the huge glass door was wide open and the breeze made us feel like we were sitting outside on the patio. The only regret I have about Desert Rose is that we didn't bother to stop in before last night. It's a great addition to the neighborhood and we both agreed that we'll be going back soon.

One of Los Feliz's Best. So I've been coming to Desert Rose for a while now...and figured I would FINALLY write a review as it is long past due. It's one of my favorite places to meet my girlfriends during happy hour and down some majorly delicious arnold palmers or mocha martinis. it is also a favorite to go to before a big night out...as we will sit there for what seems like hours and just enjoy the amazing tabbouleh and drinks. the service is great and you never feel like you are annoying anyone or stepping on anyones toes. a definite MUST for anyone in the area!
