Vintage clothing, accessories and Paris in Echo Park..
Somewhere between a Left Bank boutique and Anthropologie, there’s Tavin, a lovingly-curated treasure trove of vintage and indie-designer clothing and accessories with a romantic, bohemian bent. The cozy space is chockfull of distinct gems artfully displayed in every nook and cranny. Clothing racks lining either side of the narrow space are arranged by color scheme—pink skirts and red vintage tops gradually fade into blue dresses, gray tees from local designer, Park Vogel, and much, much more. A few high-end vintage selections find their way into the mix—a Halston dress here, a pair of Marc Jacobs shoes there—but there’s really something for every price point. Each hand-selected item is distinctive and lovingly labeled with handmade tags that feature a reflective thought in type from owner, Erin Tavin. Pint-sized Eastsiders can go vintage with adorable, '60s-era dead stock (never been worn) from Little Rascals, or treat their tootsies with leather booties from L.A. designer, Willow Dean. Among the endless selection of new and vintage accessories, you’ll find belts from Baltazar, canvas bags from Brooklyn-based Forest Bound, sandals from India and whimsical, feather jewelry from Miss KK. As if that isn’t enough, there are also design books, cards, bath products and home accessories. Mon dieu!
