I would like to share my experience after visiting 405 Automotive. I just recently had my car done at this place. I'm very happy with the result. Very honest and professional place, no overcharged. Moreover, they really know everything about cars. They did explain to me everything in details what they are going to fix (I was very pleased about that) I'm glad I was referred to them because they were very helpful, and my car drives like never before:-)

Top notch automotive repair shop. So I was referred to 405 Automotive earlier this year by a very good friend who is a customer of the shop, (he drives a 3 series BMW). He recommended this shop to me, being that I was new in the area and needed a reliable, dependable repair shop for my 2004 VW GTI.

My first experience was back in March of this year, (2011) it was a very good one- my car was finished in a timely manner and I was treated with respect; Martin explained in detail, all that had been done to my car, along with a couple recommendations for things that needed to be considered, but weren't necessary at the present moment for repair.

I have now brought my car in to his shop on 3 different occasions, and just recently the last being for a full set of new tires. I feel confident and rest assured in the hands of this shop and I am very happy to have been recommended from my good friend. I personally, have already, sent 2 people in to see Martin, and both have had wonderful experiences.

Thank you Martin, your knowledge is priceless.

Beware Crooks. I took in my car in for transmission repair, which they kept getting wrong for about eight months. Finally when I called the Bureau of Automotive Repair, they looked at my car I told me that they botched it and wasn't fixed at all. The Bureau got me half my money back, after a long hassle.

What's even better that they started writing their own reviews on city search to boost their rating.

Beware don't go there...charged for repairs that were never done and then kept the car for months.

Love this place!!!. I can't believe how great the service is at 405 automotive. Everyone is so helpful and help you understand what you need. My car was ready when said and I wouldn't hesitate coming back for any and all services my car may need in the future...thanks Martin!!

405 Automotive,Inc. I am very very please with the service that I received from 405 Automotive, JoVon Henderson is very professional, and well knowledge on his business.

He was very nice and patient and well dressed and very likable. He represented the 405 Automotive the best that I have ever seen. I felt taken care of and respected and my car is running perfectly now!

Great service!. I could not be happier with my experience at this shop. I'm using these guys for years and I'm always very satisfied with the great service that they provided for me. They are always on time, professional friendly and very honest people. The owner do whatever he can do to keep his customers happy and provide the best service.

As long as I have my Mercedes I will keep going there!!

Best shop ever!. It is so important to find a mechanic you can trust. This is the one. Martin is so knowledgeable, calm, patient, honest and helpful.

The owner is always around. He takes the time

to explain what is going on and answered all my questions.

I always have complete confidence in this shop.

I have been going there for years and I would definitely recommend this auto shop for all your car issues.

Cleanest shop I've ever seen.. I've been looking for alternative to Audi dealership for some time. I tried a few shops in Santa Monica and one in West LA. I have to say that guys at 405 know everything about my Allroad. I had suspension problem and my car has air suspension which is expensive to repair. I called in to find out if they know this car and I was impressed with detailed answers that I was given. Just by talking to technician I knew that they will do it right. I brought my car 2 days after and it was ready the same day. Instead of replacing front shocks that dealer said are bad (about $1600) they found that there was air leak on the shock connector that's why car was too low i n the front. Charge was very reasonable and I saved almost $1400!!! And I was impressed with customer service and shop being so clean. Also they had very expensive cars in the shop so my Allroad loved being worked on next to Aston Martin and Bentley. I highly recommend this shop

Piece of Garbage. I’ve lost three years of my life and thousands of dollars to Martin and his incompetent laborers (which rotate frequently.) If you want to read further enjoy the sad hilarity, but for the purpose of a review you can stop after the next sentence. 405 Auto, owned by Martin (was never informed of his last name) is the the worst choice in an auto shop that you will ever make. Don’t do it. Go ANYWHERE else. I dropped my 1992 325i convertible off at 405 Auto based on an idiot friend Tyler Locke's recommendation in August of 2009 with the mandate of restoring the car. In February of 2011, after having to rent cars for times that I had to drive (I live in LA) and driving Martins moms ’90’s Taurus wagon “loaner” car I finally bought a new car. After driving Martin's moms loaner car long enough that I needed to think about getting it an oil change I knew that there was a problem. I finally said enough is enough and collected my car. It was three years later without transportation and 50% (maybe) of the work done. All of this after Martin guaranteed a mechanical restoration. I had to call often. Ridickhead (office manager) never once called me. I punched through their ridiculous British accent automated message system. No one at 405 Auto is even close to being from the UK. Mexico City is 5,500 miles, Eastern Europe is 6,000 miles. I wanted a car. Martin was sick alot. Unfortunately I paid cash up front for the repairs because Martin claimed that he and his business were hard up for cash. I choose to trust him and willingly paid him thousands of dollars up front. After finally taking my car, shopping around and then finding a new shop, I was told that the work done was of the caliber of a high school shop class. And it took three years. I lost. Learn from me. Go anywhere else.
