Citysearch Editorial Review. A loyal following of local musicians, artists and writers frequents this tiny spot for generous cups of perfectly-brewed Lavazza coffee and made-to-order sandwiches on giant croissants and Brooklyn bagels. The sunny storefront--self-styled as “building community and caffeinating Silver Lake”--plays a cool indie soundtrack and sports mismatched vintage chairs, a red velvet couch, sunny window counter seats and four sidewalk patio tables. The shop has become a magnet for local chess players in the lazy afternoons, and busy farmers market shoppers on Saturdays. The cafe also features monthly art shows by neighborhood artists. A range of baked goods and sandwiches include a hummus wrap, tuna melt with harissa and mozzarella, tuna wrap with capers and sundried tomatoes, and bagel and lox.
