This tiny pink and chocolate-brown box of a store right off Colorado Boulevard gets packed on weekend afternoons, but it’s worth the wait if you’re a cupcake fan. Vivid pop-art oil paintings of cupcakes dot the walls, while folks gather around the glass cases trying to decide between gourmet flavors like caramel fleur de sel, coconut lime and red velvet. There are plenty of traditional chocolate and vanilla varieties, and the frosting runs on the sugary-sweet side with pretty decorations. Choose between minis ($1.50) or regular ($2.75). Flavors rotate every two days, so call ahead if you have a favorite you're looking for. Limited seating on a narrow pillowed bench makes dining in somewhat awkward. Otherwise, orders are packed up in pretty little boxes.
