BEST PLACE. HONESTLY, best place ever created!!! I am not a vegitarian but i love there "meat" more than real meat..everyone should try this place. Friendly staff and amazing foood!!!! yumm yumm yumm.. and their chilli is incredible too!
Made me a believer. I am a serious meat eater and we had an opportunity to try this restaurant for a corporate lunch. The Santa Fe Crispy Chickin’ was better that its real chicken counterpart. I honestly would rather eat that sandwich than a chicken sandwich. I love kale and the All Hail Kale salad was divine. It was a terrific lunch that was satisfying, delicous and I did not feel weighed down afterwards. I would definitely recommend and go back on my own.
Wait, this isn't real chicken?. I’ll be honest with you- I do not care for salads. That being said, once I tried the “All Hail Kale” salad from Veggie Grill, I knew I’d found an exception. With agave-roasted walnuts tossed in, you really can’t go wrong. After falling in love with this salad, I had to try their others as well. I found that the Baja Fiesta, Chinese Chickin’, and Chop-Chop Chef were all also incredible. The only problem now is which one to order? Throw their burgers and sandwiches into the mix, and that decision becomes even more difficult. I haven’t yet made it all the way through the menu, but I’m yet to find something that I haven’t loved. Regardless of what you order, make sure to get the sweet potato fries. And for you manly-man out there, don’t be scared off by the whole veggie thing- all their substitutions taste so great and a lot like the real thing.
Great vegan eats..
Listen, I freaking love this place. I wish I could dive into a pool of their chipotle ranch and use their sweet potatoes fries as tasty oars. Their salads are damn fine and their sandwiches are fantastic.
I've used them to cater parties before and it was a HIT! I just can't gush enough.
I wish they'd open one in Mammoth.
Yummy and healthy. Everything I've had here has been delicious! Would go here all the time if I lived closer.
My new favorite restaurant for healthy and delicious food!.
At first I couldn't understand why there aren't more reviews for Veggie Grill, but then I realized that everyone's probably too busy eating there to be reviewing it here.
This place is absolutely divine. I first discovered their location in Irvine, back when I was 100% vegetarian and fell in love with it. The food is so delicious and such perfect substitutes for the meat that I missed dearly.
Even though my veggie diet is a little less strict these days, I still LOVE this place and would choose their vegan sandwiches over most burgers any day.
However, my absolute all time favorite dish, which I highly recommend is the All Hail Kale Salad with blackened Tempeh. It''s healthy and yummy with a fantastic papaya and ginger dressing.
I've heard the fries are fantastic, but then again my friends have raved about just about everything on the menu.
There's free parking (90 minutes) with validation and when I was in this week I noticed they even offer a curbside pickup, which is great since I'm getting it to go most times.
I cannot tell you enough how much I love this place, except that it's breaking the bank because we've been eating there so many times a week. Well worth every penny since I know how healthy and great the food is.
Stop reading and go now!
Holy mackrel, this place is GREAT.
I've eaten here a few times now and so far, haven't had anything that I'm not mad about... even if you're not a fan of vegetarian food, try this place, because the food is nothing like you've had before. The grilled "chicken" sandwich looks, feels and tastes like real chicken... and the Bali Bliss sandwich (add guacamole!) is phenomenal.
I think these guys are successful for two reasons: first, the staff is unfailingly helpful and friendly; they're great about bringing your food, cleaning the table and checking to be sure everything is okay. Second, the flavors are all awesome-- clearly they spent a lot of time developing their recipes and getting the flavors and ingredients just right.
Best things on the menu: the sweet-potato fries (omfg), the Bali Bliss sandwich, the Grilled Chicken sandwich, and the chocolate pudding.
Great food. I am some what of a carnivore but took a friend there who must eat vegetarian and I actually enjoyed my meal, was shocked! I will definitely go back...
Never thought Vegan can be so good. If you've seen the movie 'Food Inc' and want to reduce the consumption of meat products in your life, what a dreamy place this is. Took over our office as everyone seems to order there for lunch. I never knew it could be so delicious. On my way to Trader Joe's over the weekend i walked by this place -- really loved the look and feel. fast-food-ish but high end and you'll be happy to have dinner there on a weeknight, too. the picture here i think is pretty good.
Citysearch Editorial Review. Looking a little like the Pinkberry of tempeh, this local vegan mini-chain is for both vegetarians and crossover carnivores looking for cheap, healthy and tasty eats. Located in the shopping and dining complex next to CB2 and Trader Joe’s, the bright and welcoming space first catches the eye with a front patio dotted with market umbrellas. Cool shades of red, orange and green frame a sleek modern Euro-Japanese styled room, set off with wood and molded designer chairs. Classic American “burgers” and comfort foods like the BBQ sandwich and chicken wings are made of savory meat substitutes--either tempeh or wheat protein--and gussied up with avocado, sprouts and fresh breads. Other items include kale salad, a grilled portobello sandwich, and sweet potato fries with chipotle ranch dressing. Don’t forget dairy-free carrot cake and chocolate pudding for dessert.
