A great place for seafood with a real east coast feel. Nice selection of oyster, decent lobster roll and lovely wine list.

A pricey -- yet well-done -- nod to the East Coast, complete with lobster rolls, New England clam chowder and raw oysters.

Bustling beachside oyster centric bistro. Sit at the bar front row seats into open kitchen. Order the oysters ceviche style and market catch

Nice little Spot. So after Christina (reviews for Yelp) had such a delightful time here back in January I had this place bookmarked to try... as I am from Boston I am especially picky about my seafood; Lobster, Clams (with the belly) and Oysters - last name... Rockefeller.

Thomas Jefferson (my boyfriend) wanted to sit outside (as this was the apparent modus operandi for our little jaunt) every place we ate we sat outside MIND YOU THE WEATHER WAS FREEZING!! breef Pam breef... so anyhoo we find perfect parking on the street (bring your quarters if you do not want to use garages) saddled up to the outside to watch the nearby Santa Monica pier and ordered... First up Oyster Rockefeller -- 1/2 order is 6 they are small and delicious with their creamy spinach oozing out of the shell, just the right amount of cheese and a squirt a little lemon with a short Jab of Tabasco and I am on my way to Heaven :) of course this was not filling as I had ordered a Stella to accompany my dish I ate those bad boys in less than 2 minutes.... shoootttt I don't play when it comes to Oysters Rockefeller (quick disclaimer * in my defense* it has been a while since I have partaken of the nectar of Oyster Rockefeller :)

Moving right along to our next tantalizing feature Mussels in a Red Curry sauce OMG!!! (stomping foot) this was Slapalicious... for those of you that don't know when something is real good you want to SLAP somebody LMAO well this was IT for me the mussels were a very nice size and we could not finish the entire bucket, our server brought out 2 slices of toasted bread and I quickly squeezed Lemons all over those little morsels of goodness Thomas Jefferson had some sort of wheat ale that was compared to a Chimay (belgian beer) by our server and he and I were ready to commence. I ordered a side of sweet potato chips meh =/ Staff was nice but this was a Tuesday in the afternoon and there was NO one else there so we received real attentive service. We will definitely be returning :)

BTW we watched while the meter maids and police department kept a consistent watch over cars ticketing VERY OFTEN so BEWARE. The meters are for 2 hour parking only.

good location but just ok. didn't have the oysters, but had a lobster roll

it paled in comparison to the ones from the east coast and was overpriced

service was friendly and we got in right away on a weekend which was great

might go back if i'm in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way

Citysearch Editorial Review. This casual neighborhood spot buzzing with Santa Monica locals is awash with East Coast charm, from its white tiled floors and industrial metal tables to its vintage stamped-tin ceiling, comfy pearl-hued banquettes and sunny storefront windows. Oh, did we mention the ocean view and salty breeze? A striped awning perches over three rustic picnic tables out front. Oysters are displayed on ice and listed on a chalkboard--half a dozen market varieties may range from Pemaquids (ME) to Island Creeks (MA) to Metcalfs (BC) to California Lunas. Also listed are daily fish specials like Atlantic Bluefish (nearly impossible to find on the West Coast!) and Nantucket scallops. Other popular menu items include a seductive lobster roll served on light, toasted brioche, mussels in white wine and garlic, fish and chips, prawn cocktail and, of course, New England Clam chowder.

Great Service, Very Marginal Food, Expensive. Had to give the new place a try. It has a fun French sidewalk bistro feel - but the food was pretty weak. The oysters are good, but the white wine mussels were more like mussel cereal - shellfish in flavorless cream. Shrimp po'boy was 5 frozen/fried vons shrimp on a hotdog bun for $20. Avoid the baked clams if you have clams oreganato in mind.

That said - the people were nice and working hard - so i'll give them a break for being new. But I didn't see enough to return.

Good seafood, great service. Yummy seafood spot with a casual mom and pop feel. There was a bit of a wait for a spot on Friday night, but the service was very accommodating. The owner came by and seemed to give each table personal attention.

I enjoyed the crudo the most, as I'm really not a huge oyster fan. But if your into oysters and like variety, this is your place.
