Rockwell is a super cool place. They offer live music and a seasonal menu. You can have lunch in their beautiful indoor or outdoor spaces. They also have a supper club.
cool spot. Went here after lunch to get some dessert but the choices were limited to chocolate cake (i think) and chocolate bread pudding... I went with the chocolate bread pudding. I bread pudding was good but the ambiance is king at this place. It's an amazing open air bar/lounge. I'll come back to try actual brunch and see if it's as good as the venue.
Citysearch Editorial Review. This Los Feliz hot spot is jamming on weekends with an eclectic Eastside crowd ranging from grungy to groovy to gay. Despite its rustic vibe and scattered Thoreau quotes, you’re not going to get much solitude here. It’s the “backyard” of Vermont Restaurant, so enter through the back alley to find this hidden space. The dramatic, glowing patio bar is dominated by a gigantic coral tree at the center of the sprawling space, growing up through the second balcony level. Surrounding the stunning tree-as-centerpiece are polished tables and chairs, a sheltered backlit bar and romantic indoor nooks. But the action is in the “treehouse” up top on the spacious balcony. Here, scenesters settle into cushioned booths, long banquettes, and tables overlooking the courtyard as they sip on concoctions like the Dragon Lily and Champagne Rocktail. A small plates menu (which is run by the same folks at Vermont) features charcuterie and cheeses, wood-fired flatbreads, truffle and goat cheese ravioli, chorizo saffron mussels, and filet mignon asado. There’s also a rockin’ brunch scene on weekends where specials range from braised short ribs and poached eggs to lemon ricotta pancakes.
