The former Tortilla Grill has been redone with a contemporary rustic-artsy feel as colorful Latin-themed murals brighten an already airy room highlighted with tile, wood and big windows. Flat screen TVs bring in locals to watch the game while sunny sidewalk tables let you linger and catch all the action on the boulevard. Standard Mexican dishes are bumped up for Venice tastes with organic flour tortillas, fresh ingredients and meats that are grilled and not fried. Prices are extremely reasonable with menu items ranging from Alaskan halibut soft tacos to chicken mole, Oaxaquena lamb osso buco, octopus ceviche, crab enchiladas and chicken mole tamales wrapped in a banana leaf. Vegetarian options include the house salad, grilled vegetable burrito, mushroom quesadilla and vegetarian tamales.
