Cozy breakfast nook. Everything about this place is great! In a city filled with Starbucks, Peets, and Coffee Bean every once in awhile it's nice and refreshing to have something unique. Bricks and Scones is that place! As soon as I walked in I knew I was going to like this place, the ambiance is very inviting and soothing. There is a quiet space upstairs for reading or studying, appropriately called "The Study." Downstairs there is another huge area for eating and relaxing with free WIFI and very comfy couches. If you prefer a little fresh air the outdoor space is fantastic and filled with umbrellas to shield that strong Southern Cali sunlight. I got a chocolate chip scone and to say I recommend it is putting it mildly. To drink I got an iced Caramel Macchiato and it was perfect for a warm Sunday stroll. Definitely check this place out if you are in the Mid City or Larchmont area!

Comfy, cool place!. What a cool place! Free WiFi, tons of room to just sit and chill inside and out. They read my mind opening a "Study" where there is no talking and quiet for those who need it. They make almond milk lattes, too. Yippee!

Citysearch Editorial Review. In a city full of professionals who don’t punch the classic corporate clock or report to a cubicle all day, havens with Wi-Fi (that works), good coffee (Intelligentsia no less) and tasty sandwiches, salads and, yes, scones, are hard to come by. That’s why this family-run spot is generally filled to the brim with laptop-toting writers and their ilk. The staff is super-friendly, especially when they quietly carry your order over to your table as you work—either on the leafy patio, the spacious downstairs area with its stuffed leather chairs, or one of the tables located in the quieter upstairs room, complete with a “Study” where patrons are asked to be silent. This place could not be more accommodating. In no particular order, they offer: student discounts, gluten- and dairy-free goods, clotted cream and eco-friendly materials to put it all in. Hungry writers may choose from homemade tomato soup, the turkey pesto and mozzarella panini, cran-walnut scones, chestnut corn muffin cake, Lupicia teas and extremely appealing cupcakes.

Adorable and Convenient. Family operated, Bricks and Scones has got it all. Strong, delicious intelligentsia coffee, awesome homemade baked goods (they offer gluten free, too), soups, paninis, and free wi-fi. All can be enjoyed either inside in the main lounge area, the quiet study upstairs, or the beautiful outside patio. Are you a student looking to catch some studying time? Don't forget to ask them for the student discount.
