Citysearch Editorial Review. The longstanding restaurant at this iconic Hollywood hotel in Universal City relaunched in 2009 with a face lift, making it a more modern casual-chic spot. Celebs like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jennifer Aniston have surfaced here in the past. The updated look sports retro-style white leather chairs and sleek banquettes overlooking the pool, bathed in neutral tones accented with lime green and canary yellow. Breakfasts range from light and healthy to a full-on buffet; the lunch menu is dominated by half a dozen build-it-yourself “Star Burger” options spanning Black Angus to American Kobe. Dinner is more elegant, with market-driven signature dishes from chef Urs Balmer including Dijon crusted Australian rack of lamb, pan fried Chilean sea bass (among the best you'll ever have) and warm molten chocolate cake.
