With Delphine, Innovative Dining Group breaks into Mediterranean cuisine, creating an inviting, unpretentious brasserie with a menu that reflects not only France's renowned Cote d'Azur, but also Spain's Costa Brava and the idyllic Italian Riviera. In addition to les fruits de mer from a bountiful raw bar, classic brasserie dishes such as escargots persillade, pissaladiere, nicoise salad, steak frites with bearnaise, trout meuniere, and cassoulet are joined by pastas, tapas and burgers on an extensive menu. The restaurant, whose open-air feel and vibrant colors celebrate a laid-back Proven?al lifestyle, is a prized neighborhood retreat as well as the main culinary attraction at a world-class hotel, situated in a landmark development that recaptures the timeless glamour of Hollywood.

Looking for a bit of Paris in the heart of Hollywood? You'll likely find it at Delphine. The anchor restaurant for W's new Hollywood hotel offers up French bistro fare for a lot less than you might imagine. Dishes such as their crispy trout meuniere or Delphine's fantastically complex mushroom ravioli could easily go for over $25, given the hotel setting. Yet all items are fairly priced here, and the setting is indeed inspired...with arched ceilings, large modern ceiling fans and comfortable circular booths (try and snag one of these tables, as they are the best seats in the house). The menu…
Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- You can try to find street parking at a meter nearby on Argyle or adjacent streets. Otherwise, pull up to valet on Hollywood Boulevard. With restaurant validation, it's $5 before 4pm, and $7 after 4pm for the first 2 hours and 30 minutes. Stay three hours and it will cost you $3 every half hour thereafter.
- What to Drink:
- Cocktails are great here and each is named after various Innovative Dining Group restaurants. Try the strawberry-centric Katana Fusion and you won't be sorry. There are also wine selections.

A good value for high style dining

This place is surprisingly affordable for their selection of decently made gourmet French fusion. The best part about Delphine is its proximity to The Pantages. Shows begin at 8 and that's the time to waltz in here to get a table without waiting or a reservation. The decor is soft and warm with tones of seafoam blue, ivory and mushroom. Our whole fish entrees were lovely and our appetizer of various Olives and pickled Garlic was so refreshing, we ordered more to go at the end of the meal. The only criticism I had was for the bisque which I suspect was 90% butter. All in all we ordered 6 courses and 2 cocktails for roughly $75 which was quite surprising.
The AYCE raw bar on Mondays is an outstanding value that includes items like crab legs and other shellfish. You have to show up early for this though, as they run out of items quickly.
wasn't the best in LA!!!

We had reservation for a friends birthday party. They had trouble finding our reservation and then sat us between the kitchen and an outside door. So we would get smells from the ktichen and blasts of cold air from outside. We asked to move and got some attitude but we were able to move. The girl serving us took a Very long time to come to our table just to get a drink order. The drinks from the menus were ok a little stronge but ok. It then took another 30mins for our food order to be placed. When we finally recieved our food it as ok. The steak sandwich that I ordered had no flavor and was overly greasy. The onionrings which cost an additional $3 dollar to switch out were very salty and greay but had a great crisp to them. The water was served in what looked like a use bottle that they just washed out. and the place matte were the menus. They were cleaning and wiping down the tables as we still sat there. The one dessert that was ordered was a cheesecake, it tasted like a block of cream cheese with powdered sugar and stawberries on top. There was no real friendliness to the place and I know I wont be back for dinner anytime soon. Its good for lunch but not a nice dinner. Also any party over 4 people the add on tip, we had 5 people to our party. 15% was added.
Fun vibe, good food

Went here for a friend's b-day party over the weekend. It was a very festive and sophisticated New York style scene. Service was great and we had fantastic oysters. The menu has a little bit of everything. Great spot.
Travel to the French Riviera...in the heart of Hollywood!

The brand new W Hollywood is home to the hottest new restaurant in Southern California: Delphine Eatery & Bar. It is reminiscent of a Brasserie in the South of France. Driving up on Hollywood Blvd, you can't miss the red W at the top of the Hotel. Valet and enter through the W Hotel, or you can enter the restaurant from Hollywood Blvd: you'll find a great bar on your left with frosted glass windows behind it and a host stand on your right staffed by gorgeous ladies smiling and happy to answer any questions you may have.
There are a few tables in the bar area which would be great for stopping in for breakfast or lunch or even a nice cocktail in the evening. Further ahead is the dining room at a slightly lower level. As you enter the dining room, you'll notice a wall size mirror on your left on which the specials of the day will be written!
Massive framed mirrors and huge canvas photographs of the French Riviera line the walls. The tables are spacious, booths are comfortable--every seat has a great view of the open floor plan.
There will be a Delphine patio outside as well! The flooring is quite unique, very chic, very French, light blue and bone white intricate design. The overall ambiance is very elegant and refined, yet relaxed and soothing!
Executive Chef Sascha Lyon (of NY's Michelin three-star Daniel, Balthazar and Pastis) has put together an amazing dinner menu and also serves Breakfast and Lunch. The restaurant opens at 6:30 a.m. and stays open late.
Proving once again that even Vegetarians and Vegans can fully enjoy gourmet restaurants, I ordered the Marinated Olives and Peppers, Rapini, Eggplant, and Tomato. The Rapini dish was absolutely delicious. Sweet peppers, spicy rapini, savory eggplant: taste buds were in heaven!
My date had the Caesar salad with Bacon for starters and said it was sensational!
We were able to order champagne and wines by the glass -- Delphine boasts a spectacular wine list!
My server, Nick (awesome), informed me that the chef would combine two menu items to suit my vegan palate: The Penne Puttanesca (w/ tomato olives and garlic) with the Mushroom Ravioli base (Butternut squash, hazelnuts and olive oil instead of the sage brown butter). The penne was cooked perfectly! Creaminess of the Butternut squash, crunchiness of the Hazelnuts and the meaty Mushrooms were a pleasing combination!
My friend ordered the Striped Bass Aigo Bouido (crispy layer, and tender meat, outstanding sauce). I will return again soon and try the Escalavida Pizza!! The grand opening will be on January 28th, I recommend calling ahead for reservations!!
The overall experience was exceptional! After dinner we walked over to the Living Room in the lobby of the W Hotel...stunning! Tall Ceilings, huge spiral staircase, gorgeous chandelier, couches and pillows make you feel like you are at home...a chic, fun lounge sure to be a big hit for star-studded Hollywood parties!
Congratulations Innovative Dining Group on another huge success!
