If its a beer and burger joint you're craving in the Oaks, look no further than the Blue Dog. The burgers are great and the fries are to die for. The Sherman salad with its BBQ chicken is a great non-burger choice, too,

Citysearch Editorial Review. Locals of nearly bar-barren Sherman Oaks can get their frothy beverage fix inside this low-lit tavern of sorts. Good ol' craft beer (8 on tap and 12 bottled, to be exact) is complemented by yummy comfort food. While barflies chug beer and scarf down chili cheese fries and buffalo wings, groups of friends mingle at retro hardwood tables and share plates of root beer bourbon ribs, old Rasputin fish and chips and "Italian Supermodel" burgers. Those with room for dessert should try the ice cream sandwich. This mega-sized concoction satiates sweet cravers with vanilla or mint chip ice cream stuffed between two warm, chocolate chip cookies.
