The lobster twice baked potato is well worth the carbs.

The vibe is more modern lounge while the food of thick cuts, ravioli and sliders harkens back to a traditional steakhouse.

A steak lover's delight!. My wife and I were not seated right away, probably because we were 10-15 minutes late. Other than that, the service was among the best throughout the entire dining experience. Being an huge fan of aged New York steaks, trying this restaurant was an absolute must. The New York steak was fantastic, but I would have to say Nick and Stef's is the best steak restaurant(New York steak there is the bomb!) to date. (Tried Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Lawry's, 555 East as well). The sides were excellent, we had mashed potatoes, asparagus, and marinated mushrooms. The bread pudding dessert was also great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent!. This place being a year old has it all. Ambiance, food and people. I really loved the food. The Caesar salad is excellent and made table side. The choices of meats were great. Top notch quality. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. Cocktails are done right.

Worth it!. The view from the balcony was absolutely worth the price of this restaurant. Not to mention that the food is sensational, and the service impeccable.

Bland Food. Food was so overrated. I will give them the kudos for decor, ambiance and service. Our waiter was great and the bus-boy couldn't top feeding us bread. But we ordered 2 glasses of Tattinger and it was warm :( and our steak was overcooked and tough, oh and did I say pricey. We even tried the Escargot which was totally bland, will except the garlic flavor but I could of had the same taste with a piece of tofu.

Best steak ever!!!. The lay-out and general design of the restaurant are amazing, what I would describe as a retro-contemporary. Prompt service and upper class atmosphere but not in a "snooty" way. It was a nice change from 'Hungry Hunter' or 'Outback'. I had the Argentine Filet with creamy horseradish sauce that was probably the best I've ever had. The group I was with shared all the side dishes witch were excellent as well. A nice take on the steakhouse.

A real restaurant in LA!. If you have ever been to San Francisco and experienced real food and service, you will love Balboa. This makes perfect sence since the GM is from SF. The staff is starchy and knowlegable and chef Joni Fay Hill makes the best steak in town. If you are daring, ask for the mac and cheese (better than my mom's) Joni style (extra crispy top). The wine list is full of names you may not know, but don't fret. Have fun and try the sparkling shiraz!

yummy steak. The salads are fantastic, too! I recommend you visit the lounge for a pre or post dinner cocktail as well. Very swanky.

Great Value & Location. Looking for a great hotel in L.A.? Stay at the Grafton. Located right on Sunset Blvd., this hotel has a great vibe and the staff is very friendly. Great bar & restaurant in the hotel, as well.

Sunset Hipster Dining. Decor, ambience, service and food all top-notch. Interesting and creative rubs and sauces for your meat option. Hip place to dine with a retro look and feel in the decor. Food was excellent, pricey but still a good value. I'll dine there as often as I can afford to, will recommend it to friends.
