the ambiance is great and the crowd is great but the food is not so great. They try hard but just cant beat out mastros or cut and you def do not get what you pay for.

BOA. big big fan. have dined here 5 times plus. each time is consistent and delicious. apps, main and dessert all exceptional. ambiance is great.

you can not go wrong at boa. enjoy!

Below average food and horrible service. I'm not sure what the hype is about this restaurant. My boyfriend and I went to BOA for dinner last Friday and did not have a pleasant experience. I ordered the prawns and noticed 2 of the 5 prawns were not clean. At this point I had already taken one bite of out each prawn. The manager stopped by to ask us if we need anything and I showed him my unpleasant discovery on my plate (shrimp poop). He told me he would bring me back a new plate, which is exactly what he did. Not only did he take my plate (with other food that I ordered that he did not replace) and swapped it for a new one, he also put the two shrimp that were not cleaned back on my plate (half eaten). I think the least he could have done was replace the two half eaten prawns with two new prawns. Once we received out bill we notice that the waiter also charged us for 3 cocktails when we only ordered two. It took us almost 20 minutes to check out after asking the waiter to correct our bill. The service is extremely slow.

I found this place to be very cheap and unorganized. You are not getting what you pay for. The food is very overpriced and only rates as "average".

The management needs training on how to treat customers as the are very "snooty" and do not care about the customers dining experience.

A great steak!. I had a chance to have dinner here on my birthday a while back. The filet was phenomenal and service was top notch. If you've been to BOA, you know it's a scene. Great people watching, a high energy atmosphere, and great steaks makes BOA an LA staple!

Go to santa monica instead!. the energy of the place is horrible along with the service. If you're young and out with friends Santa Monica BOA is the place to go...even if it's farther...the staff is way better, faster, and you can walk along the beach after dinner

Wow, I have finally made it!. It is worth coming here just to see the space and enjoy the scene. Very roomy, big patio area. Perfect for happy hour (5-7p) - everything is only $6, including the most delicious kobe sliders. If I had any friends, I would definitely want to hang out with them here. You will probably see celebrities - I saw Halle Berry and I never see anyone... The steak (filet) was superb - I chose their 'J-1' Sauce (like an upgrade on A-1) - lots of different kinds of steaks and sauces (and rubs). The salmon served on the cedar plank was top-notch. Be prepared to spend some money - but again, the happy hour gets you in the door for pocket change...

Citysearch Editorial Review. Formerly located in tiny digs at the Grafton Hotel down the street, this glamorous and iconic steakhouse has reinvented itself with a bigger-is-better flagship. A dramatic 4,000 square-foot patio along Sunset Boulevard is where the action is: it wraps around lounges with firepits, a mod circular skylight, and giant glowing columns that cast a rosy, cinematic glow on the well-heeled crowd. Indoors, buttery leather sofas flank the long red Italian marble bar, and a front dining room extends around circular booths. Appetizers range from fresh oysters, smoked salmon and caviar to tableside tartare, while “surf” entrees feature ahi tuna and whole Maine lobster. But the main draw is, of course, the steaks: everything from a 40-day dry aged New York Strip to bone-in Kansas City filet mignon.
