They have ice cream cupcakes! It's a mystery how they're made but you have to try them! chocolate / chocolate buttercream filled with mint chip ice cream
The cupcake of the week was the malted chocolate and it was sinfully good. Not quite as dark as Frosted's regular chocolate cupcake, but just as moist. It came topped with a Whopper on malted chocolate frosting, which was a nice touch I'm now headed to the gym, but worth every calorie.
With all of the cupcake shops flooding LA, Frosted is definitely the one to go to. Their cake is fluffy and their frosting has just the right amour of sweetness and richness. They have a nice selection of rotating flavors. Want just a small taste? Go for the 'high tops'.
Soooooooooo GOOD! – We had 4 of these today and they were AMAZING! This is by far the best cupcake place we've tried in the LA area. Definitely DO NOT MISS the caramel toffee and the white cake w/ choc frosting!
The best cupcakes I have ever had. – I had lots of cupcakes in my time but the cupcake that takes the prize is Frosted Cupcakery. This place is 1,000,000 times better than Sprinkles.
I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream Cupcakes! – I was so excited to stumble upon this new bakery the week that they opened. They actually have a Long Beach location as well, but it’s new to those of us in the Hollywood area. I love Nutella, but you don’t see it in cupcakes too often, so I couldn’t wait to try their Royal White with Chocolate Buttercream flavor. I was sad to find myself a little disappointed in this flavor. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. Of course, I had to sample practically all their flavors, and the best was probably the Chocolate with Peanut Butter Buttercream covered in toffee. With so many cupcake choices out there, the reason I think you should go to this cupcakery is not for their traditional cupcakes, but rather for their Ice Cream Cupcakes. These giant cupcakes filled with ice cream are something different and delicious. Their flavors change often, but I’ve got to imagine that they’re all excellent.
Citysearch Editorial Review – This cutie pie of a cupcake shop, originally started in Long Beach's cozy Belmont Shore district, opened up this second location in late 2009. With 18 daily flavors that range from chocolate peanut butter and red velvet to royal white buttercream, the sugary bombs aim to satisfy every sweet tooth's craving. There are also seasonal flavors like banana and pumpkin as well as special flavors of the month. But the real secret weapon of this luscious little light-blue boutique is the ice-cream cupcake: a delectable concoction of ice cream (in flavors like strawberry and cookies & cream) surrounded by warm, moist cake.
