Owner Peter Garland's lounge-inspired bar space--located adjacent to his Canon Drive restaurant Porta Via Bistro--brings some much-needed nightlife to Beverly Hills, with a covered terrace outside and two indoor rooms featuring movable lounge furniture to create a comfortable, low-key vibe. Drinks lean toward the classics--martinis, Manhattans, wine and beer--and a small plates menu including ceviche, Porta Via burgers, sweet potato fries with blue cheese sauce and grilled pizza is available. And while the bar is open later than most in the area, night owls take note--it closes at midnight, not the usual 2am.
