Citysearch Editorial Review. Tucked amid the Fashion District’s tangle of stores hawking suits, sunglasses and cheap tees, this fun boutique brought to you by the ladies behind Boos & Besito is a must for anyone into edgy vintage from the 80s and 90s. The flannel shirts, cut-off jean shorts, woven Guatemalan belts and grungy work boots are a serious trip down memory lane for anyone born before 1980--or, you know, just really retro cool for the 20-somethings. Vintage duds for both guys and girls have been reworked and stylized, and nearly everything is tricked out with studding. Signature studs adorn everything from Chuck Taylors and 80s shades to Madonna-esque bustiers and brightly-colored bowler hats. Plenty of Boos & Besito accessories are in the mix, including fringed scarves, bootie socks and headbands and necklaces sporting big bows. Beyond denim and flannel, expect to find Betty Boop tees, army jackets, cute mini-dresses, colorful skirts and screen-printed shirts featuring everyone from Tupac and Biggie to Guns ‘n Roses. There are plenty of shoes, purses and jewelry to sort through as well, and new stuff comes in a couple times a week. Mixed in with the more casual ware, you’ll find fancier frocks like velvet baby doll dresses, sequined tops and sheer mumus.
