Ha, what a joke – Wow, walked it at around 3:30 on a Saturday and was immediately skeptical since I didn't see anyone (no customers nor workers) for a few minutes. Finally some guy appeared in the back and brought us menus. I informed him I had a groupon so he took it then told me it has already been redeemed. Really?!? I've never stepped foot in that place and my groupon says its still available. His response "well it's crossed off in here so I can't use it". Oh, so their method of redemption is putting a line through a number on a list without any signature or electronic redemption. Nice! I will never step foot in there again and will be requesting my money back from groupon since I never got to use it.
The only good thing that came of this is that I went down the street to coney dog and redeemed another groupon there, with no problems and excellent service.
New affordable but cool lunch spot!!!! – My coworkers and I were so anxious to try this place as we've run out of places to dine for lunch that we actually enjoy! I'm happy to say that we were not disappointed. First off, our waitress was friendly and made great suggestions. We decided to try several plates and needless to say, we'll be returning at least once a week. We get plenty of delicious food for a reasonable price!!!!
Great wine sampling!!! – We stopped by to sample their wine tasting and we were pleased to see such a wide variety of imported wine from Italy and a huge selection of beers on tap. For just $35 per person, we each had 2 glasses of our choice of wine along with a cheese AND meat platter. I was very pleased with our waiter and the owner who was very nice even gave us a complimentary salad! I lovveedd the decor and ambiance. it's very cozy and inviting! We took a pizza to go and even after it got cold, it was still just as delicious!
Small restaurant that's BIG on flavor and value. – Don't let the size of this restaurant fool you. On my first visit I sampled the signature Sliders- The Kobe and Portabello and I was not disappointed! The sliders were hot from the kitchen, full of flavor and the accompanying homemade potato chips were an added delight. I have since returned for Saturday brunch and dinner with my 4 and 6 year olds for a cheese pizza which they gobbled up! Brunch on a Saturday? It was outstanding, try the French Toast stuffed with fresh berries and warm maple syrup. The restaurant also has a nice selection of beer on tap and wine. I will definitely make another trip here!
Nice lamb and chicken too! – Just found this place by accident because traffic was so bad on Sunset we had to pull over. Really great and cheap sliders! And not just the usual. They have lamb, crispy chicken and even a few seafood type sliders. Everything my friend and I tasted was great. Very friendly service and our order came out in a timely manner. The best slider we had was the lamb, so do what you can to try that one. You get to try two for 8 bucks, and they are BIG. You will be stuffed after. Fun choice for lunch or a snack.
Great Food, Reasonable Price – While visiting LA from the East Coast, our friends and family ate at Sliders on Sunset for lunch. I found the food to be exceptionally good and the price very reasonable. I was surprised to see a brunch menu on a Saturday. I would definitely go back on my next trip to LA.
Sliders will never last – I was in this restaurant and was totally shocked by how the cook was treated, especially considering that the food is very good. We won't EVER return to this dump and I hope the guy cooking gets hired somewhere great, where the talent is appreciated. This place will never last because the owner is a TYRANT. Please don't support it.
This review being commented on is a personal attack on our restaurant by a discruntled employee. I am the GM/Chef and I can promise you, that at no time was anyone mistreated in our establishment, especially my kitchen staff.
Citysearch Editorial Review – This small Sunset Strip eatery debuted in late March 2010 with little or no fanfare, quietly serving lunchtime sliders to office workers from nearby office buildings. Despite the unassuming exterior, food here is surprisingly good (and cheap). Recent East Coast transplant Brandon Carter cooks up juicy lamb, pork and even crab cake sliders here--all at a reasonably priced two for $8 price point. For a can't-miss combo, try the lamb slider (with feta cheese cream, minted cucumber and pickled onion on a mini-brioche roll) and Carter's Kobe slider (with sauteed onions and fresh shitake mushrooms). All sliders are served with house made potato chips.
