Its cavernous room rollicks with a nighttime party atmosphere, especially when sports games light up give big TV screens and the beer is flowing. Forget Zen, this spot is more akin to Seoul’s neon hipster haunts with a dance music soundtrack, DJs and colorful lights. Young trendsters are the main crowd here, though big groups of families and friends often make this a celebration destination. Form follows function lending a futuristic industrial vibe to the rows of grilling tables topped with tall stainless chimney fans sucking away the smoke, so the room remains remarkably smokeless. Cool young waitstaff dressed in black jeans and T-shirts are attentive. The specialty is all-you-can-eat DIY Korean barbeque priced at $19.99 per person (kids under 8, $11.99). Choose from 21 grilling meats, ranging from the standard thin-sliced beef, bulgogi, kalbi, pork belly, spicy chicken, squid and shrimp to ox intestines and abomasum (pork stomach). With this you also get to make your own hotpot soup with handmade noodles and dessert. Banchan (little side dishes) come with the meals, and many inexpensive la carte options of noodles, dumplings and kimchi stew are also featured. Asian and international beers are cheap and plentiful, and the soju and sake menu is long. A small eclectic wine list runs from Robert Mondavi Napa Chardonnay to Caymus and Opus One.
