Citysearch Editorial Review. Part of the Barnsdall Art Park complex located atop Olive Hill in Hollywood, this theatre with a 299-seat proscenium stage is owned and operated by the City of Los Angeles. Serving as a low-priced rental house for live theatre, dance, music, spoken word, lecture, film and special event presentations, the space has been home to many fun cultural events. Surrounding the theatre is the 11-acre park that is also home to the Municipal Art Gallery, a Junior Arts Center and the Hollyhock House designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
