Yes it's a chain but the product is good. Sit at the upstairs terrace for happy hour and dine on lobster sliders and champagne cocktails.

Excellent food, sub-par service. Executive summary: Very good food, spotty service and no bargain.

We went to experience the "Generous Wine Pour" promotion but found the pours to be reluctant, not generous, and the service for the most part inattentive.

Two of the 9 featured wines were significantly flawed, three were outstanding and the rest were acceptable but not remarkable. We almost had to beg to get small second pours of the ones we liked.

I have no issue at all with the quality of the food. We ordered the seafood platter for openers and except for the shrimp not being on the platter until we pointed this out to the waiter, this was an excellent dish with succulent lobster and shrimp and delicious oysters. Our steaks were also superb, prepared exactly to our specification and the sides we ordered (onion rings and green beans) were easily up to expectation.

This restaurant is huge but it appeared to be under staffed. This is inexcusable. The price vs the service compared to other venues (such as Nick and Stef's, downtown) is such that we wont' be back at Capital Grille anytime soon.

Excellent Everything. We were impressed! Let's start with the professional friendly staff. We felt incredibly welcomed and the staff bent over backwards to make us feel important. The restaurant is beautiful with two large full bars that offer delicious specialty drinks. As for the food...it was amazing. The calamari was exceptional. The chefs special choices of dry aged juicy meat was delicious. Everything we tried was great. You must try the lobster mac n cheese and for dessert the coconut cream pie. Also, it was very refreshing to have complimentary valet. We can't wait to go back.

Citysearch Editorial Review. It might be located in what was once the Hard Rock Cafe at the Beverly Center, but this country-clubby steakhouse (the first in California) couldn't be more unlike that rock-and-roll burger and beer chain. With rich mahogany paneling, warm lighting and a fastidiously attentive staff dressed in matching tan-colored jackets, this well-known eatery has its formula down to a science. Starters include jumbo shrimp cocktail and chopped salad while a la carte entrees range from the famed dry-aged steaks to the cedar plank salmon with tomato-fennel relish. The 400+ wine list is impressive as is the cocktail menu of specialties like the Sweet Basil Gin Rickey martini and Stoli Doli made with pineapple-infused vodka. Just remember: With an average entree price of $40, this isn't the kind of place you visit if you're counting pennies. No, this is the kind of place where you purchase your own wine locker and eat like a well-fed sexagenarian.
