One of the WORST experiences ever!. I can't begin to describe how below the belt the whole experience was at this 'restaurant'. Decided to take a client there after a late afternoon meeting. We arrived at 5:30. No one was in there but one other table which they sat us completely on top of. When we asked to change tables they said that wasn't possible. So we went with it. After (no joke) sitting there for 20 minutes, no water, no attention, nothing...I went to the door and got us some menus. With that...the arrogant waiter proceeded to tell us that, we shouldn't be doing that...and that he was on his way. Mind you...no one is in the place. We finally got waters and edamame and then he was gone again for another 10 minutes. So we are now there for 30 minutes we have a 1 beer 2 waters and some disgustingly under thawed string beans.

I don't want to be here forever, but the story goes that we never ate, the bouncer saw that we were getting ready to leave, my client put $10 dollars on the table for a $7 dollar beer and as we got up to leave the bouncer held us there until we were formally served with our check and then escorted us out. I can't comment on the food...because we never were served or asked. I can only saw that...I hope whoever owns this place loose their shirt and get out of this town. Bad behavior all around, overpriced crap and ZERO environment has no place in this town. I would rather drive to a Lawndale strip mail for people who can't speak english than ever step foot on that place again.

NOT REAL SUSHI. OK, How do I start? Place looks great, suckered me in.

then I ordered. They got order mixed up, ok, mistakes happen. Then I tasted the sushi! What's with the sauces? I can't taste anything.

Then I saw that there are no Japanese sushi chefs. Now I understand. Its not authentic Japanese sushi.

They have a sake list and I know sake but I never heard or saw any of their sakes. But I was willing to try new things. After I tasted a few, at $11-15 a glass, I understood why. Its not a very good sake list.

The last straw, the bill!! OUCH!!

Wow is this place expensive.

If you want trendy, go.

But if you want real fresh sushi and real Japanese sake, go somewhere else.

SORRY. What can I say? Maybe it wsa the day, but come on, a sushi bar with Mexican sushi chefs who slather everything in mayo!! What the!! Can't taste the subtle flaovirs and textures of the fish.

Disappointing sake list.

They have some American food which I guess makes this place popular, but what's the point?

I want real Japanese sushi and this is not the place.

The final straw, the Price $$$$

$10 for a beer, $6 for plain sushi!! Even more for special rolls.

The bill was a bit much!

Best Sushi Ever!. I went there with my girlfriends on Friday it was fabulous. I couldn't get enough of the sushi. The location is wonderful and inside is gorgeous. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!

wonderful sushi!. My husband took me for our anniversary and it was so fun. The atmosphere was exciting and the service was very prompt. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the saki topped it off. The sushi was great and really compared to my restaurant experiences in Tokyo.

Real sushi that roks u. We went for the launch of their happy hour ~ 1/2 price on beer and sake by the glass. We ended up staying for dinner and stuffed ourselves with sushi rolls and sashimi.

Also doesn't hurt that the place was full of good looking people.

So delicous!. Had dinner with a bunch of my girls on Saturday. Amazing place, and the food was phenomenal. It was a nice getaway, as I live in Culver City, and there aren't many good sushi places in that location. Go with your spouse or with your friends - you will not be disappointed!

Nom Nom!. Had the best dinner at Rok! I'm a stickler when it comes to my Japanese food and loved everything I ate!
