Thursdays are the best.
It's hard to find a place like this in Hollywood. Great neighborhood vibe, strong drinks and great music. The Djs on Thursdays play Funk, Rock, Old School HipHop and Soul. Thursday is my favorite night of the week. They do music theme nights too. I heard they are doing a James Brown and a MO-town night. Get it in on Thursdays.

Citysearch Editorial Review.
After a minute as Madame Royale, this mellow bar continues to veer away from the typical velvet rope policies of other Hollywood spots. Instead, the stylishly nostalgic scene dreamed up by nightlife maestro Craig Trager offers more of a neighborhood vibe where anyone can mix and mingle. Swirly green-gold wallpaper complements the bar's shining cocktails. For those finding it hard to swallow the prices of the Maple Julep and Blood & Sand cocktails, there's always the old faithful $5 gin martini, available all night.

Finally!.
As a new resident of the Hollywood Hills I finally have a great neighborhood bar. My wife and I walked in on Friday around 8ish to a beautiful bar filled with maybe a dozen people. Our thoughts: What a great room, but how come nobody is here? Chatted up the friendly bartender, he said "You'll be happy you got here early". He was right because after about a half hour or so people began filing in. And by 10, it was jumping. Solid cocktails made by a professional. My orange bitters based Old Fashioned was perfect. Wife had one of their specialty cocktails. Mixed crowd from neighborhood hipsters, to industry suits, to starlets, to boring married couples like us. It works. The place makes you comfortable. The only drawback to sitting at the bar after 10 is the rush of people ordering drinks. We eventually found a nice corner out on the patio. Valet seemed a little flustered, or I'm just impatient. Great night out. Will be back with more people.
