Citysearch Editorial Review. This Paul & Joe US flagship could not bring a more welcome breath of fresh, fashionable air to Robertson Bouleveard's uber-hyped block. While stores like Anthropologie have carried French designer Sophie Albou's goods on our shores for years, her magnifique clothing, beauty and accessories collections for men, women and children "Paul & Joe," "Paul & Joe Sister," "Paul & Joe Beaute" and "little Paul & Joe" need no mainstream middleman. From the special-edition Havaianas created just for them, displayed prominently in front, to the stuffed animal chair by Brazilian artists/designers Fernando and Humberto Campana (ask the friendly staff about their wild pieces, one of which was also handmade for Kanye West), to her cleverly constructed bags, inventively shaped sunglasses and looks ranging from seductive bustier/jacket combos and black silk crepe dresses to playful cotton frocks and shirts and fun florals, women who like to look super-cool will flock here. The childrens' and men's wares are also big winners.
