i wish i read the other reviews before!!!. at first i was very impressed by the place, and the owner. but not much after paying i discovered that it was all a big lie!

i was told the sofa i purchased will be delivered on a certain date and it was not in fact i had to wait 5 different times at home till they actually came.

when i purchase the sofa i was told its leather and it is not!! i was also told i will be able to return it if it will not be to my satisfaction for a certain restocking fee, that never happened i was begging for exchange and was ignored by every one at the store including the owner!!!

with no other choice i took him to court and won, and even then he took the sofa and did not give me my money back. he is a professional crock!!

I'm still trying to contact him and he is ignoring me.

last when he gave me no choice i stop by his shop and he was very rude, and was cursing me and my family.

Run, run away as fast as you can. First off, if Citysearch allowed me give 0 stars I would - consider the 1 star I gave as forced charity.

While I could easily bore you with a 2,500 word dissertation on the crappiness of Evique RM, I will spare you the pain and be as terse as possible.

We went into this little store on June 26, and dealt with a really nice saleswoman who told us all about the store's owner, who designed his own furniture. We were in the market for a chaise sectional, and my wife really liked their floor model. After about 45 minutes in the store, we decided to buy the couch, and I plunked down my Amex.

We were told that we would get an email later that day from them, including photos of the 3 sofa legs we could choose from, in additional to a quote for delivery. We were told it would be 10 business days until delivery.

A week later, we still hadn't heard from them. We would call/email the store, and wait 2 days for a reply, which usually was "We're still trying to get photos of the legs."

9 business days after we placed our order, I was finally told they didn't have photos of the feet. Huh? You gotta be kidding me. I told them without them, I couldn't pick, and therefore I wouldn't take the sofa. The owner, Riq, told me I was being dramatic and I had no reason to be upset, since my couch wasn't late. According to Riq, a bag of dogsh*t in the shape of a sofa would be acceptable, as long as it was delivered on time. Finally, after almost an hour of arguing on the phone, they sent pictures of the legs, and I chose.

Speaking of late delivery, we were told it would be delivered on the 11th business day (Tuesday), which was very reasonable. They even waived half the delivery charge after the leg debacle. That day, we got a call that they couldn't deliver the couch. They rescheduled for Thursday (day #13). Of course that didn't happen, because the "delivery truck broke down." Delivery was rescheduled for Monday (day #15).

After all this insane drama, we just wanted our couch. The truck pulled up at our house on Monday with the couch ("only" 2 hours late - the driver said he wasn't told about the delivery until 30 minutes before the time Evique scheduled with us). It was pretty obvious right away that the couch was wrong - we had order a left-facing couch (chaise on the left) and this couch was right-facing. Mirror image of what it was supposed to be.

I immediately called Riq's cell phone... no answer. I told the driver I couldn't accept delivery because the product was wrong. I sent Riq a very detailed email a little while later, explaining everything, asking for a credit back to my Amex, and saying firmly that I didn't want a replacement couch. No reply.

Two days later, I finally got Riq on the phone, and he said they were "rush ordering a replacement." I said, WHOA, I emailed you 36 hours ago saying I didn't want a replacement, please refund my card. He refused, and told me to take it up with Amex if I didn't like it.

LOOOOONG story short - this is probably the worst-run business in LA. Just light your money on fire before you shop here.
