Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor.. In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

There are way better Outbacks. We did the "call ahead" service, but we were better off just walking in. They had our time wrong & even made us wait for over 45 minutes. The service was better after we finally got seated, but this was the worst Outback we've been to. We like our neighborhood Outback way better (in Northridge).

Good food, crappy service. I've eaten at this location of the national chain a few times, and the service was so awful that I refuse to eat at this one ever and hesitate to try another location. Once we were ar party of 6 and they seated two parties of the same size who arrived after us with no reservation. Once, we ordered food to go, and when we got home, 1 dinner had wrong side dishes and another dinner (mine) was missing all together. They gave us a gift certificate, but truthfully I don't even want to redeem it.
