When random people at work come up to you and tell you that you should ask for your money back from whomever did you hair, you know it' s bad.

i went to Lesia at Nikko after reading her good yelp reviews. I was interested in getting an omre color and a haircut. i have long hair and it's one of my pride and joys and being new to LA, I really just had online reviews to go on. Lesia was very nice in person and very fun. She did a base color on the top of my head as I had grays growing out, then proceeded to highlight the bottom 2/3 of my hair to achieve an ombre effect. after rinsing out the highlights it was obvious that I had calico cat patches on one side of my head which something tells me she would have never mentioned if I hadn't said something first. She was, however, nice about redoing this section.

After the color was done she proceed to give me a "haircut" which lasted literally 1 minute. Immediately after, she styled the bottoms into loose curls. The lighting in the salon was poor and since she had curled the bottom of my hair, I had no idea what was in store for me when I got home. I woke up the next morning with orange highlights. Not only that, but there was no graduation in the ombre color and because the highlighted portion took up so much of my hair and the top third was so dark, i essentially looked like an unkempt person who had allowed their natural hair to grow out for several months NOT someone who just spent 143 dollars to get an omre color. There was a blunt cutoff between the light and dark not a graduated color which is what ombre is.

I decided to give it a few days to see if the color would "settle" after a few washes but when it didn't, I emailed Lesia. She emailed me back the next day asking if I would give my hair a week to recuperate which I was happy to do even though I was absolutely mortified by my hair.

That was it. My last interaction with her was that email 1 month ago. She has not responded to my calls, emails and texts regarding an appointment to come in to fix my hair. Even worse, after straightening my hair a few days later, I noticed that she had given me the worst haircut I have ever had. There is a big chunk of hair missing on the right side of my head. Instead of showing off my new gorgeous locks, I have been wearing my hair in a bun since this salon visit. I have never spent so much money only to wish for the hair I had going into a salon. Lesia seemed like a nice person and that's why I wanted to give her a chance before writing this review and reporting her to the BBB, but you CANNOT butcher your client's hair, take their hard-earned money and then drop off the face of the planet. Lesia, if you are reading this, I demand my money back. I know you have my email and phone number because I have messaged you through the website several times with, big surprise, no reply. You should be ashamed.

Best Salon I've found in LA!. I went to Lesia to get a relaxer and a cut -- such a great experience! From the minute I called to set up my appointment, Lesia's customer service was amazing so I already was pleased. She's a great stylist and her salon has a nice, relaxing atmosphere.

I was in and out fast with a slammin hair-do and even though it was my first time meeting Lesia, I left feeling like we were long-time friends.

She also explained everything she was putting in my hair which is awesome and something I wasn't used to.

I'm looking forward to going back for my next touch-up! :)

AMAZING SYLIST!!. Leisa is amazing. After going to several different stylist in the valley with disappointment, I found Leisa. She spent time listening to me explain the look I was searching for and gave me recommendations to help me achieve that look. My hair is now healthier, shiny and flows. Thank you Leisa. Refreshed to have found Lesia @ Nikko!. I came to Lesia after purchasing a deal for an eyebrow wax. She is such a great stylist! I honestly absolutely loved my eyebrows and am so glad I purchased 2 (maximum number) of deals that I could have used. Even after I use both, I will continue to come to Lesia. She did such a great job...my brows were very clean and groomed and had a perfect arch. They weren't too thick nor too thin, just perfect to match my face.

I will also come to Lesia for hair needs now, as she is such a sweet person. I think it's important that you bond with your stylist so they can really get a sense and feel of YOUR style and what you like. This way you can combine both of your ideas...Lesia is so easy to talk to and is so kind. Loved my experience :)

Refreshing and Beautiful!!!. Let's start with the bottom line: I LOVED my cut/color/style/stylist Lesia. It was my birthday and it was the big one and I couldn't have been happier after leaving the salon. I have thick hair and I was surprised how quick she was, my hair was so soft and so straight. Lesia was very professional and skilled and had such a pleasant personality. I absolutely loved my highlights!!! I received many compliments also. My hair looked and felt great and I can't wait to go back again.

great haircut in Sherman Oaks. I recently visited Lesia for a hair cut and had a great experience. The cut was fantastic, she is lovely to talk with and works quickly. I have already made a follow up appointment for another cut and a highlight. I highly recommend her!

Convert from the West Side!. Lesia is fantastic - having moved from the West side to the Valley, I was distraught at having to find a new stylist! I wish I had found Lesia sooner - my hair has never looked better!

I had been with the same stylist for years and was so afraid to try someone new that my hair was a grown out mess in desperate need of cut and highlight by the time I got my courage up!

Lesia made me so comfortable and I so enjoyed spending time with her - she worked her magic and all was fabulous!

I will be a long term client, can't recommend her highly enough!

Worth travelling 1300 miles for!. I live in Canada and happened to be visiting family in California when I originally went to Lesia at Nikko Hair Studio for a Brazilian Blowout. Not only did my hair look amazing after my appointment, but it was an absolute pleasure to meet and chat with Lesia.

I've been back twice now and will continue to see Lesia whenever I'm in LA. Her warm personality, great sense of humour and obvious skill with hair are worth waiting and travelling for.

My only regret is that I don't live close enough to see her more often!

Best Haircut Ever. I couldn't be happier with the cut, color and service I got at Nikko Hair Studio! I almost didn't redeem my 1/2 off salon services voucher from Amazon because I'd been going to the same stylist for years who was excellent and I was afraid of trying someone new. I needn't have worried. Leisa is amazing! My hair has never looked so good or been so easy to manage. So many people have asked me where I get my hair done since Leisa performed her "magic". I'll definitely be going back and recommend her highly.

Great Stylist. I never go to salons ever and I put my trust in Lesia and she delivered. BEST BLOWDRY/STRAIGHTEN EVER. I have naturally thick curly hair and I could never get my hair this straight. She's super friendly and I've already started recommending her.
