Bad Neighborhood, Sketchy Rooms & Security. You get what you pay for, I guess. This is in a scary neighborhood. Not nearly as scary as some, I know, and busy, but not a place for say, a single female. The rooms are in odd configurations that can make it scary if you have a bad neighbor(s), as I did on my visit. The cops even paid my neighbors a visit! Then, they stayed up all night making noise. There were also people in the courtyard making noise all night long. The desk said I should have complained, but I would not want it known by those types that I'm the one that turned them in! Put it this way: the reception office is locked at all times, even during the day, and they have to buzz you in. That's how bad the area is. There's a liquor store across the street with folks loitering, and various street crime in the area. Plus, the rooms are old and stuffy. If you really can't afford to spend another $20 or $30 a night to stay some place a bit better, it might do for a night. But you won't have pleasant memories of your trip. The bathroom in the room was pretty dodgy, too, but serviceable. I recommend staying at cheap motels further west, and on Sunset instead of the crummy Hollywood Blvd., for that $20 more per night.

Nice, clean, close to it all. I was worried at first with many seedy places nearby, but this place was very, very good. Nice, clean room, safe parking in back, and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Plus, the room was so cheap! It was my first time staying in Hollywood and I totally lucked out with this place. Anyone who posts a negative review is probably a competitor just slandering, because there are several other places nearby that wew flea bag dumps, I was so relieved I didn't by chance pick one of them online instead. Plus the manager is a beautiful Indian woman, who also saved me a ton of money hooking me up with the airport shuttle instead of a cab. I will totally stay there again, it is just down the block from the heart of Hollywood!

Editorial Review. Budget lodging just east of Hollywood's main attractions. Standard amenities include king and double beds, in-room coffee and air conditiioning.

Avoid. It's not worth the $62 I paid through expedia. Unless you like unsatisfying drippy, too hot/cold showers and the parking was difficult. It was either cramped, had difficult to move spaces or full (I ended up parking on the street one time). I had a better deal at econolodge at $45 with all the basic amenties working.

Unbelievebly awful..do not book. My son had his GUARANTEED reservation cancelled when a higher paying customer arrived at 11AM teh morning he was to arrive. Being a kid on his way to college, he accepted a ground floor room with a broken air conditioner- a room whose window he could not even open. We called and complained and the management was obnoxious and rude. What a miserable start to a great adventure. I work in the travel industry and will NEVER use this property again and suggest no one else take the chance either.
