Katie O'neil. I have lived all over the coast (Santa Barbara, Manhattan Beach, San Diego) and when I found myself in Santa Monica I had to find myself a new salon. A short drive and some great luck I landed at Platinum Black Salon and one of the girls, Katie O'neil, was able to take me. So I took a shot and let her have at it. SERIOUSLY I will never go to any other salon as long as I live! A) my hair looks better than it ever has; Katie's cut is more manageable than any other and the color appears so natural people always ask "you don't color your hair right?" (my hair is blonde blond blond, but the highlighting magic Katie O'Neil does fits my skin color perfect!) B) The salons atmosphere is super relaxing and has great vibes. C) Katie gave me bangs, and they are AWESOME, I have got more compliments on them and considering she made bangs while I have a cowlick is extremely impressive!! Very good energy! All I can recommend is if you are questioning where to go, ask for Katie O'neil and get ready to be really really happy with your new cut and color.

Michael is a rockstar!. Once you go platinumblack you don't go back! Michael is amazing. A super talent who does runway! Go to him if you want to walk out looking like a super model!! I had the worst haircut, which I like to refer to as the swedish mullet. I looked just like Mick Jagger... a real disaster. Michael fixed the unfixable and now that it has grown out, he has made it look great. Bye bye Mick hello kate moss.

BEST SALON IN BRENTWOOD. This is my new favorite salon in Brentwood. It seems that although there is a salon on every corner, it's so hard to find a really good stylist. Search no more.....this is definitely THE BEST salon in BRENTWOOD.

I've been searching for a good salon-a place where I feel welcomed and relaxed. I've gone in a few times for blow drys-all the girls there are really good and even though I don't always make an appointment-they are willing to fit me in.

If you're searching for a good hair stylist-check this place out. You won't regret it!

A BRENTWOOD GEM!. I get stopped ALL the time asking "who does my hair" I cannot say enough about PLATINUMBLACK Salon, but KATIE BRAMMER is a true talent and I am so lucky to have found her. She does the BEST blondes, you won't be brassy, overly bleached or damage. Instead my hair is seriously healthy, shiny and vibrant! Not to mention her haircuts really shape your face and are hassle free, I've been growing my hair out and without having to do too much my hair just falls into place. Katie has turned me into a Swan. Without a doubt I recommend booking with her, you won't be disappointed!

PLATINUMBLACK ROCKS!. I just got my hair done here and I LOVE IT!! I came in with some really bad roots and since I was going to a graduation, I HAD to do something about my hair.

I got my color done and it looks awesome! I don't know how she got my hair to look so healthy and shiny! And not only that-it feels so much better. Everyone at the graduation kept complimenting me on my hair and and how nice it looked. I LOVE MY HAIR!!

BEST SALON IN LA!!. Finally-a salon that knows what they are doing! I was at the Starbucks across the street and I happened to notice this place and I am soooo glad that I walked in.

The place has a great vibe-modern, sleek, trendy, and everyone is so nice (not that stuck-up attitude that you find in so many LA salons). I was in desperate need of a haircut and the stylist who did my hair was awesome!! She knew exactly what would look good on me and made my hair feel fuller and thicker. It's sooo healthy looking now. I LOVE IT!!

It's one of best cuts that I've ever had.....even my husband commented on how great my hair looks!! If you want a great cut-this is the place!!

Brentwood just got so lucky!!. Hooray for Michael Haase coming to Brentwood! I can't remember the last time I got more jazzed than when I heard that Michael was moving from Beverly Hills to open his own salon in Brentwood. Michael's haircuts are like no one else's and yes, I made the drive religiously every 8-10 wks. to Beverly Hills so I could be "Michaelized" but to think that we get to have his talent West of the 405 is just about as thrilling as it gets!

When you see Michael for the first time be prepared to turn yourself over to him for a complete hair makeover. He will cut & color your hair to the shape of your face, the texture of your hair, and to the style of who you are. You will never receive more compliments on your hair than when Michael gets a hold of it.

Although he can be pricey (as all great hairdressers are) Michael is worth every cent you pay and then some!!

get the most amazing hair makeover with michael haase!. i got my first Michael Haase cut 8 years ago and got totally addicted. once you get the best haircut of your life, how do you not keep coming back? rather than ask me what i wanted to do, he told me what would look good on me --considering my head shape, face, hair texture, etc. i could not believe how much a haircut could wow me but it literally made me feel like i had a complete make-over. it flattered my face, was so easy to take care of (mom of 2), made me feel like i was so stylish even in my jeans and t-shirts and even garnered more compliments than I knew what to do with. a-mazing. i've been to so many stylists and they don't compare to his skill, experience and artistry.



Pros: he will know what looks good on you and do it. You’ll look fabulous!

Cons: once you see what a really good haircut on you is, you won’t be able to go anywhere else.
