Can't wait for Famous Foods.
I had read from Dolce Group's Twitter and other news outlets that Vh1 was going to be filming a new reality show in the old ketchup space. They were going to be opening a new restaurant, Lemon Basket.
Obvi had to check the place out since I was such a big fan of Ketchup and I was pleasantly surprised. I went with my friends the first week they were taking reservations and we had a nice dinner before going out.
Since I'm celebrity obsessed it was cool to see special touches on the menu from Famous Foods like specialty cocktails from Danielle Staub and Heidi Montag, as well as DJ Pauls Mac and Cheese. DJ Paul was actually there when we had dinner.
My friends and I shared appetizers and desserts. My favorites were the Maryland Crab Nachos, Mac and Cheese with short rib, and the crab cakes. For dessert we had the strawberry shortcake - amaze.
Can't wait for the show to premiere!
Lemon Basket: American Cuisine Done Right. Lemon Basket is yet another restaurant beautifully executed by the Dolce Group. The setting of Lemon Basket is clean and trendy. Although it has a posh feel to it, it is not overwhelming. The ambience is cool and relaxing and the restaurant features several scenic windows. The waiters were cordial and welcoming and they helped to refill drinks before being asked, while also pacing themselves very well. Lemon Basket offers traditional American meals with a twist. The food was exquisite partly due to the use of fresh ingredients and skillful manipulation. My first visit there has certainly converted me into a returning customer and I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking forward to having a good time.
great!!!. I was so excited to go to Lemon Basket for the first time and it was worth the trip. I was happy to see healthy items on the menu. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere truly was like an upscale picnic. I will be returning very soon.
5 stars for lemon basket!. I finally went to Lemon Basket last week with my boyfriend for lunch. I was excited to go after all the buzz that I've been hearing about this new hot spot and I must say, it lived up to its expectations. My service was friendly and very professional. The environment is welcoming and most importantly the food was outstanding. This is the perfect place for new american food in the LA area for sure.
Not impressed. I love the location, but the food was not great. I can't fully judge because I only had appetizers for the grand opening. However, the appetizers were not great. Atmosphere was fun, not as fun as Ketchup, but a decent time.
Great food at a great price. Finally a great restaurant in LA that wont blow a hole in your wallet! The food was very good consisting of an american cuisine with an upscale elegant flare. My meal was very reasonably priced that completely satisfied my appetite. Going back asap!
