What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
Everyone with a tongue knows that tuna salad sandwiches are basically cat food for humans, so you can imagine our surprise when we tried one at The Sycamore Kitchen, and it tasted like dreams come true. The breakfast/lunch offshoot of the Michelin starred Hatfield's has the sort of menu options that you know could only come from chefs with serious pedigree. Karen and Quin Hatfield specialize in turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. Even humdrum chicken sandwiches are brought to life with unbelievable bread and a slicing touch of lemon jam. The baked goods are no different. Think beautiful galettes, tarts, quick breads made from delicious dark ales and the best bundt cakes around.

Sandwiches are tasty, but the real winners are the baked goods. I'm a little obsessed with the ale quick breads and galettes. Everything is fresh and pretty to look at.

This new cafe from the Hatfield's duo is a treat. Beautiful space with equally beautiful pastries. The brown butter mini date bundt cake is heavenly!

Fried Egg, Pork Belly Hash, Spinach need I say more? So rich and flavorful! Favorite breakfast item at Sycamore. Don't feel like a heavy breakfast, they have a huge selection of pastries. Great place to eat outdoors and meet up with friends to gossip without feeling like you need to give up your table.

Lovely breakfast and lunch spot from the Hatfields. Food is just as good as their original, eponymous eatery, but much more casual. The salmon on toast should have its own Facebook page.
