El Tres Inn4439 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA | Directions 90027
34.097908 -118.286714Upscale inn above El Chavo draws touring bands and more.. Apartment-style suites combine cool style with laid-back comfort in Silver Lake. With bold accents, luxurious amenities and ample space to spread out, this hip inn is a welcome addition to the Eastside’s limited accommodations. Stylish touches in the three apartments-turned-suites include purple-tiled bathrooms, carved headboards and black wallpaper punctuated by vibrant red roses. El Tres supports Eastside businesses, which means that in-room books are curated by Stories, custom leather coasters are from Dean, and robes are handmade by Silver Lake designer, Matrushka. Guests are given drink tokens for margaritas at El Chavo or Chavito lounge downstairs, and in the morning, pastries, juice and coffee are delivered from Café Tropical. Suites are pimped out with iPod docs, 52-inch flat-screens with Blu-ray players, turntables with a selection of vinyl and fully-equipped kitchenettes. In addition to living rooms, suites Dos and Tres feature separate media rooms and private patios with comfy egg chairs from Potted. The largest suite (Tres) can sleep up to four, with a pull-out couch and plenty of closet space. Guests who want to venture beyond their rooms (not likely) can take advantage of El Chavo’s spacious patio downstairs, or El Salon, a common area that’s also available for private events. Check the website for packages that may include tickets to Moca, Lacma or a Dodgers game, plus dinner at Edendale or El Chavo and drinks at La Cita or Short Stop—depending on the package. There’s also a spa package that includes an in-suite massage, lunch from Flore Café and yoga at Karuna. Bonus: Save 10% when you stay a week, or 20% for two weeks. Locals who live in area codes 90026, 90027 and 90039 get a 10% discount (sorry, that doesn’t include your families).
