Average experience. The Wine house has a great selection and knowledgeable staff, but a very bad policy regarding returns or tastings.

My wife had a migraine and was unable to attend a tasting, but we had a very difficult time even getting a merchadise credit for the tasting fee. My recommendation is to only purchase your ticket for tastings at the last moment.

Fabulous Wine Tasting. I haven't had a chance to explore the shop or the new restaurant, but attended a wine tasting event and had a phenomenal time. The sommelier was funny, engaging and very knowledgeable. The wines were interesting and showcased the vast range of taste and aromas involved in wine. The appetizers were delectable and based on them, I will definitely check out the restaurant "upstairs" soon. Check this place out! The area is a bit shady but inside it's very nice.

A wine warehouse that caters to both aficionados and novices.. The Scene
Whether you're serving fish, fowl or flesh, you'll find something to go with dinner at this intoxicating bazaar. The Wine House is also a school of sorts, offering tastings, classes and events that make one of the world's oldest beverages so much more than just a drink.

The Goods
Wine House offers a full spectrum of varieties--cabernet, chardonnay, pinot noir, pinot grigio, merlot, zinfandel---both domestic and imported from France, Italy, Australia, Spain and Portugal.

Enophile's Delight. Housing literally thousands of bottles of wine, this wonderful store is a great spot to pick up the perfect bottle to compliment the perfect dinner. The staff here are very knowledgeable and very committed to helping you find exactly what you're looking for. Look out for special sale prices, and pick up wine accessories if you're in need (glasses, corkscrews).

Try to get there early because otherwise you'll be competing for parking with the dancers and patrons of the strip club across the street.

THE place to buy wine in LA. With over 7,000 bottles of wine, an extensive selection of beers and spirits, plus the most knowledgeable wine staff west of New York, The Wine House is the standard in LA.
