Gift certificate not honored. Some time ago my children gave me a gift certificate to Fred's Bakery and Deli for Father's Day. When I attempted to redeem the gift certificate they refused to honor it. My kids saved their money for this gift and I am sorry for them that they spent their money at an establishment that will not honor their prepaid gift certificate. I don't know how a business that does this stays in business for more than 60 years.

DA BOMB. HEY RANDOMGIRL WE ARE WONDERING WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS BETWEEN WHITE AND YELOW CAKE ALL I KNOW IS THAT PLACE IS THE $HIZZLE THEY HAVE THE BEST BLACK & WHITE COOKIES WE DRIVE 1 1/2 HRS JUST TO HAVE SOME WE ARE JUST WONDERING WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS THANK YOU

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I ordered a cake for my boss's birthday. I wanted a yellow cake. When we got to the office and cut the cake for the party it was white cake. My boss wouldn't eat it. Other people had a few bites. I called and complained that they gave me white cake. They tried telling me there was no difference between white and yellow cake.. really? are you really a bakery?? come on now. Then they said they would refund my credit card but I needed to call back when certain people were working. That was 23 days ago. I am still calling. Today I called, they screamed at me, again tried to tell me there was no difference between white and yellow cake, and that I needed to bring the cake (from 3 weeks ago) back in order to get a refund. They don't know what they are doing, they lie, and they ruined the birthday party. STAY AWAY

Amazing Treats and Sandwiches!!. Fred's has some of the greatest treats in town. They specialize in Jewish pastries and bake amazing bread- they are famous for their egg and rye. Their chocolate cake is my all time favorite!! The Deli is fabulous also. Stop by if you're on the west side of town.
