The salon is serious about sustainability, down to energy-efficient blow-dryers, recycled highlight foils and VOC-free paint on the walls. On the salon side, Eastsiders settle into four vintage styling stations for cuts and color treatments that use eco-friendly Davines or certified organic EcoColors products. You can also pretty up your digits with an “eco manicure” that forgoes scary-sounding chemicals like toluene, dibutyl phthalate and formaldehyde. On the boutique side, the organic products aren’t just for your locks. Stock up on Priti nail polish, small-batch lotions and scrubs from The Body Deli, vegan Stript makeup, Wick’d Bean hand-poured soy candles and much more.
