Tips for Tin Roof Bistro

Tin Roof is Tremendous!!!. Tin Roof is one of those places that you love even more, every time you go there. The food is fantastic, the management and staff are friendly, conversational, and treat you great each and every time. They pay attention to "the little touches" that makes a good restaurant great...and trust me, Mike Simms and his team are great! The wine list is excellent and they always surprise you with some amazing wines that you can't find anywhere else in the South Bay, and probaly in LA, thanks to Mike's Napa connects I would believe. This place has a fun, positive vibe every time we go there. Definitely my wife's and mine favorite place. We enjoy the outdoor patio, which is both cozy and inviting at the same time. Most importantly the Staff and Food are always tremendous! If you don't live in the South Bay, get your butt down here and try Tin Roof, you will not regret the trip :o)

excellent staff and "chalk board" wines. The owner Mike Simms and wine/restaurant manager Chris Redondo are the most dynamic combo in the high-end restaurant business today. They educate their friendly staff on their ever evolving wine list and food so well you would think they all are managers! Also, the Tin Roof does an excellent job in carrying boutique wines that are pure quality w/ value. Great job peoples!

Citysearch Editorial Review. We know the title is deceiving--this Manhattan beach bistro doesn’t actually have a tin roof--but its warm architecture and mini-vineyard give it a classic European feel. Inside, guests are greeted by a 20-foot arched Brunswick mahogany bar and lush fabric lined booths. Entrees include pan-roasted California striped bass served with green bean, corn and shitake succotash and lasagna layered with ricotta, spinach, eggplant tapenade and marinara sauce. Classic desserts ooze homemade goodness with favorites including s’mores pudding and an open-faced ice cream sandwich.
