UNSANITARY. UNSANITARY! BEWARE! I contracted a virus (warts) in the nailbed of 3 toes as a result of unsanitary pedicures at Pink Nails. I had an ingrown toenail and after treating it a number of times I began to notice the thickening of the skin as well as excessive bleeding in my cuticles. After SEVERAL months of treating my toe, the owner (who had been out of town for 2 months) recognized that there was a big problem and sent me to the doctor. The doctor diagnosed the warts and began treating them. The treatment has taken 2 years, and involves painful laser and freezing treatments as well as a substantial investment of money ($3000 - thank God my insurance has paid 50%). The nail salon has refused to take any responsibility, though I only asked that they pay my out-of-pocket expenses. I had not received a pedicure from another salon, AND have not had one in 2 years so as not to pass this nightmare on to anyone else. They girls are nice here, but CANNOT be trusted to clean their equipment.
