Avia Hotel brings modern luxury to Long Beach.. This highly polished property, a member of K Hotels, brings modern luxury to Long Beach--and it's the city's only hotel with a rooftop swimming pool deck. Open since August 2009, the 138-room retreat has an airy, relaxed atmosphere that immediately puts guests at ease. With a palette of plum, chocolate and cream, rooms are sleek and soothing with rich details like walnut paneling, leather furniture and beds so comfy you just might want to stay in all day. As for the bathrooms, they are equally sleek and surprisingly large, completely covered in striped alabaster marble with double vanities and walk-in showers. (The bathroom may be the best spot in the hotel!) Just off the lobby is the Avia Wine Bar + Lounge, a comfortable space where guests and locals relax on plush lounge chairs and at the long bar. There's also the Avia Kitchen, a casual small plates cafe that makes a great stop on your way out to a final dinner destination. In the morning, the Kitchen converts to a breakfast buffet with made-to-order eggs, fresh fruits and organic coffee.
