Beautiful kitchen and baths/wonderful contractor!
by karen6248
It's been eight months since we gutted and remodeled a full kitchen, master bath, and powder room, plus assorted other changes to our home, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We even still love the contractor - and how many people can say that after a major remodel?
Our successful experience started with a design consultation at Bradco to discuss ideas for a new kitchen. We had done a major remod on a previous home a few years ago and were still stinging with annoyance and disappointment at the workmanship and the impossibility of getting the job finished. Needless to say, we were gun-shy!
The Bradco designer worked within our stated budget and never tried to "sell up." When choices were made to upgrade, the decision was always initiated by my husband or me. One thing that surprised and delighted us is that we spent significantly less money for this kitchen than we did with the other contractor, but the quality of materials and installation we got this time are far superior.
We decided to have B&R, the contracting end of the Bradco "family" do our entire remodel, and there was never a moment's hesitation about the integrity or skill of each man who worked in our home. Although we weren't living there yet, the B&R men still attempted to keep the place as tidy as the circumstances would allow.
Much to our surprise, Eli, Many, Julio, and all of the others involved in the construction management and on the job labor showed up when they said they would - again, quite remarkable in this field.
We love using our kitchen and baths, and we still haven't gotten over admiring the results. Of course, like with any other venture such as this, there's been the occasional need to tweak or fix something. We've marveled at the speed of the response from both Bradco and B&R and the good cheer with which they approach any of our subsequent requests. And this is many months since the last invoice was paid in full.
In re-reading what I've written I fear I must sound like a shill for the company. That couldn't be further from the truth. Rather, we just feel so grateful after our earlier remodel experience to have found an organization which does high quality work at reasonable prices, and with the follow through we all want when investing so much time, money, and effort into our homes.
- Pros: Responsive, skillful, talented staff
- Cons: None
Awful, awful, awful -- do not use this place
by cluless
My two week kitchen project took two months -- because these guys, despite coming to my home to measure on two separate occasions, ordered the wrong size cabinets. Worse was the fact that every time, EVERY time, I spoke to them, the price increased -- oh, we forgot to add this to the estimate and we forgot to add that to the estimate. I asked if a few measly dollars was more important than their customer satisfaction and reputation -- apparently yes. Do not use these guys unless you have a TON of patience and a lot of extra cash to deal with their pathetic estimates.
- Pros: Staff was friendly, for the most part
- Cons: Unable to estimate correctly, unable to measure
Green custom cabinetry

Our kitchen was a mess and we had a baby on the way, my wife was on my case to get us a new kitchen before the baby was born. I kept dragging my feet and did not want to spend the money. In this economy I thought there is no way I can afford that kind of remodel. We finally went to the usual suspects, Home Depot Lowes and some other cabinet stores The prices for the cabinets were within my price range but we did not feel that we were in good hands in any of these places. We felt pressured at all times and we also felt that there where still so many unknown. These guys are just not that professional. Then we found out about the possible toxins that are in new cabinetry and with the baby on the way we needed to find someone that could provide us with non toxic cabinetry. Everyone we spoke to told us that “GREEN CABINETRY” would certainly not be within our budget. After extensive research on the net we fell upon the Pure Bond website and they revered us to Bradco Kitchens and Bath on Pico Blvd. We made an appointment and the rest is a Love story. Ryan was our designer and together with the owner they tailored a kitchen for us that fit our needs and most importantly our budget. Just be careful because all the accessories that you think you want can get you fast above the budget. When we told Michael, the owner, that we where above what we could afford he sat down with us and Ryan and tailored us the kitchen that we could pay for. We got high end custom cabinetry with NO TOXIC materials. They even loan you a FORMALDEHYDE METER to check you cabinets. So you can be sure that what they say is true. Bradco does not install but they revered us to their in-house installer, B & R Construction. They did what they promised on budget and on time. We can highly recommend them. Thank you Mr. Michael, Ryan and Eli from B&R Construction. You were great.
- Pros: Non toxic cabinetry even i could afford
- Cons: Best kept secret in LA
Design! Construction! & Passion

You hear all those horror stories about redoing this, redoing that. I have to say that I was blown away with the staff at Bradco Kithcen and Bath. I was considering a redo in quite a large downstairs bathroom. I am a female doctor living alone and know the difference between arteries and veins, however knowing what wood to use for the cabinet, product for contertops, I have no idea! I am thrilled to have found this terriffic place to be able to let my gaurd down and not feel pressured for a sale, or degraded for asking questions and getting that " oh you don't need to concern yourself with that". The entire staff made me feel like I was part of their family and only what was good enough for them would be good enough for me! I cannot tell you how inpressed I was with their "green " knowledge and awareness of what kind of chemicals are used in making of cabinets. I have no idea formaldehyde was used in cabinet making. Well not for Bradco! Not only am I completely satisfied with the job Bradco did for me I have recommened them to a number of others and will continue to do so. Thanks Bradco!
A very happy customer,
SDW
