No complaints -- one of the best small hotels I've visited. The Pavilion Lodge exceeded my expectations by far. Cute, trendy, and cozy rooms. Very clean and comfortable beds with nice amenities. They even had Evelyn and Crabtree toiletries! The staff were friendly and helpful, and they helped arrange many of our island tours and activities.

Small, 1920s hotel located on the island's most hopping beach.. The Scene
Nestled in the heart of Avalon just a half-block from the beach, this historic property gives guests an idea of what coming to the island must have been like in the 1920s and 30s. While the lobby and hallways retain their period charms, the guest rooms have, unfortunately, lost much of their classic styling throughout the decades ... nevertheless, the hotel is one of Avalon's best deals, and offers a superb location for island visitors who prefer historical ambiance over big hotel amenities.

The Details
Old-fashioned guest rooms and two-room suites are located on the second and third floors of this historical, storefront property. You'll also find four-poster beds, wooden armoires (which conceal the TVs) and great views of the beach, harbor and lively streets of this small island village.
