Mauricio (El Medico de Jeep) rocks!

Many thanks to Zack who posted Mauricio's number! Mauricio worked for the Jeep doctor for many years and is not only super easy to deal with and confidence-inspiring but also an incredible diagnostician and super fast. Since he does work out of his home, sometimes he makes housecalls if he has too many Jeeps at his house (which is awesome). Thank God (and Zack) that my 79' Wagoneer and I found him! He also won't recommend repairs you don't need because he has a full workload of Jeeps that actually need repairs!

The best service

I just gave Jeep Doctor a call only to find the line was disconnected. After reading the other review, I understand more. I live down in Long Beach, and drive up there for car service, even when it means renting a car and going back down to Long Beach with these high gas prices. Leonard is the one mechanic I would trust with a blank check. That says a lot for anyone, and especially a mechanic. I had several places tell me that I needed this and that done, and Leonard was very honest. He saved me a lot of money and did a very good job. At 135,000 miles, my jeep purrs like a kitten. Maybe I will have to give Mauricio a call.

R.I.P. Jeep Doctor....Hello Mauricio

The Jeep Doctor was apparently the best place in town to get your jeep fixed. Unfortunately it is now closed due to some health issues with the former owner

However, after some sleuth work on my behalf I tracked down one of the mechanics that was with Leonard for 9 years, he does have a small place on La Cienega that he works on Jeeps at, but you can get quicker service and a better deal if you ask him to do the service at his home. He is in the process of finding a bigger, more permanent shop like the one he used to work at but he hasn't found one that he is as happy with as he was the Jeep Doctor.
