Cavernous, but with enough nooks and crannies to generate a sense of intimacy, this Mexican cafe is done up in traditional Santa Fe style. The bustling bar area is crammed with light nibblers, and the spacious Southwestern dining room is filled with dressed-up couples on dates. The same family that runs El Cholo serves up Texas barbecue pork chops, ahi tuna, black-bean cakes and duck tamales.

I go to Sonora all the time, open seating in the bar, good looking people, food is fab, cadillac margaritas are delicious! Consistently great service. Even though the restaurant took Nachos with Grilled chicken off their menu, they make it for us every time we go there. Very accomodating! Also, there is always street parking.

Who doesn't enjoy GREAT food. Sonora Cafe DELIVERS! The service is great, prices are very reasonable. Friendly enviroment! If you get there early afternoon, you'll get a table pretty soon...

Awesome food. Best pork chop in LA. The ceviche as an appetizer is a great choice as well. It's a small cozy restaurant, very nice however not too fancy. I have been there twice and both times have been great experiences.
